Shailendra Singh

Shailendra Singh is an Indian singer. He is a Bollywood singer who has sung many Hindi songs during 1970-1990. Shailendra was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from Hill Grange High School, Peddar Road. Also, he did his further graduation from the famous St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. To get trained as an actor he joined Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Although, he went there to become an actor, but he bagged his first project as a playback singer.

He got to sing for the movie, Bobby while he was in his second year at Film and Television Institute of India. Bobby was a Raj Kapoor film. He only gave Shailendra a break in singing. His song from the movie, Bobby, "Main Shayar To Nahin" became an instant hit. People started recognizing him after this. Many offers came to him after his first venture. His song from the film Khel Khel Mein, Humne Tumne Dekha rocked the entire country with its music.

Although, he wasn't able to live this popularity for a long time.
