Aseem Trivedi is Indian political cartoonist and activist born on February 17, 1987 in Uttar Pradesh. He is very famous for his controversial act ‘cartoons against corruption’. He started his career as a cartoonist and worked for hindi news papers and magazines.

In 2011, he joined anti-corruption movement India Against Corruption. For supporting the campaign India Against Corruption he made Cartoons Against Corruption He launched a website www.cartoonsagainstcorruption.com for targeting corruption system and it created a big controversy. During the hunger strike of Anna Hazare he showed his art Cartoons against corruption in MMRDA Ground, Mumbai.

On 27th December he received an e-mail from Big Rock , domain name registrar that we received complaint from crime branch Mumbai against domain name and posting objectionable pictures against corruption. After this incident his site was suspended by Mumbai crime branch.
After his website banned, he started ‘Save Your Voice campaign’ for internet freedom with his friend Alok Dixit. ‘Save Your Voice’ campaign got viral and created a controversy. The cartoons which he made against corruption created a huge controversy and he faced many problems for insulting politician through his art. On 9th September 2012 he got arrested but the Supreme court of India’s  judge said that he did nothing illegal and arresting a cartoonist or any other person who did not committed any crime is also a crime under the India penal code (IPC).
In 2012, he took a part in Colors's TV reality show Big Boss season 6. He got selected for the award for launching website cartoons against corruption. In 2013, he was nominated for freedom of expression in arts category by Uk group which was based on censorship.
