Hotel Mumbai was nominated in the Best Film category at the Australian Film Critics Association Awards (AFCAA) and the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards (FCCA) in 2020. It won Best Direction and Best Editing at the 9th The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA). It won the Honourable Importe Films Award at the 32nd Bandung Film Festival and the Best Audience Award at the Fantasy Filmfest.
