Greg Shapiro

Greg Shapiro is a comedian of Dutch origin in the U.S.A. He is working as a news presenter for Comedy Central News Program and is a member of comedy group Boom Chicago. Shapiro in 2009, was named the Hero of Amsterdam in the Time Out Amsterdam Magazine and wrote columns in Time Out Amsterdam Magazine. Greg has also been an author of How To Be Orange. He was born in Chicago and has graduated in theatre from Northwestern University. Shapiro in 1994, went to the Netherlands to establish theatre of comedy with Boom Chicago along with several other eminent personalities.

Greg has performed in many plays that he has written as well, the shows include Superburger, How To Be Orange, How To Be Frisian, and Going Dutch. Shapiro collaborated with Maurice De Hond at Boom Chicago in 2010. Shapiro has made his vlog in the Volkskrant, with the name of War for the White House and he presented a vlog in 2012 on NPO Humor TV, on the elections in Dutch by the name of Verkiespijn. Later he developed another vlog for US elections in 2012 with the title, United States of Shapiro. Recently, Greg is working as the host of Quickest Quiz App and is the producer, writer, and director of the show. He is hosting the show, Amsterdam Comedy Podcast and has given appearances in films like Down and Phileine says Sorry.
