Cabot McNenly is the Director of Research/Camera at IATSE. Cabot developed an early interest in photography when he bought his first camera at nine, using money from mail order. He has created many works in different genres and styles since graduating from York University's Department of Art Studies. In 2020, Cabot starred in CBC's hit drama The Art of Cavendish, created by and starring Andrew Bush and Mark Little, produced by Temple Street, and earned Canadian Film Award Academy (CSA) and Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) nominations for it as he was its director and before that, he had won the Best Cinematography award in the comedy genre.

Before that, Cameron Pictures' Little Dog for the CBC was his first foray into scripted television and earned Cabot the 2019 CSC Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Comedy. He has been twice nominated for the CSC for his short films, including Steven McCarthy's  O Negative, which was selected at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival as one of the top ten Canadian short films of 2015. His early work includes the 2010 Toronto Film Critics Award-winning feature film You Are Here, as well as numerous short films, documentaries, and features. Cabot has worked with many of the country's top producers and directors, and his work has been featured at film festivals worldwide, including Locarno, South by Southwest, Hot Docs, and TIFF.
