Ashok Sinha

Ashok Sinha was born on the 8th  November  1964. He is an Indian by birth and is a professional environmental campaigner in England. At the University of Bristol, he used to study his Ph.D. which was based on the subject “Renewable energy in the Cambridge area”.

After getting his Ph.D. degree, he pursued climate change science research for some years. Reading University and the Imperial College were his center of research. During the research, he had published many journals and magazines which contained information about the hazards related to climate change and how to prevent it.

He joined a forum called  For The Future to work on policy analysis and used to analyze climate change with renewable energy protocols. He is the founder of UK Make Poverty History Campaign along with some other NGO activists from the United Kingdom. When he was the leader of the Jubilee Debt Department, he was also the chairman of the policy and lobby department of the UK Make Poverty History Campaign.

In the year 2005, the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition was formed, also known as S. C. C. Coalition. Luckily, Ashok became the president of that coalition. At present, this coalition is known as Climate Coalition. When S. C. C. introduced the I Count campaign, little did they know that it would bring them so much success.

The S. C. C. reached the peak of its career during the campaign, and it was also the champion of the prestigious International Green Award twice in 2007. This I. Count campaign was a joint initiative by the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom Live Earth campaign.

The S. C. C. was a very successful campaign.as  not only did it secure the future of the UK Make Poverty History Campaign but also made sure that no coal-powered power stations would be built. Those power stations had to be unabated before the laws could be applied to them. The S. C. C. was also responsible for the hosting of The Wave.

The Wave was the largest C C Campaign that was held at that time. Ashok has held important and dignified positions in the United Kingdom Government body. In the Amnesty International, he was the Board member and the Vice Chairman as well.

Also for the London Cycling Campaign, he was the V. C. of the event. He has been in the list of the top hundred most influential climate changers many times throughout his career and in several newspapers. Ashok is a very experienced environmentalist and has the will to save the world from the destruction that can happen if the present conditions prevail for a decade or more.
