Talia Shire

Talia Shire is an American Actor. She became famous with her acting in the Godfather trilogy; she played the role of Connie Corleone. Her other works include Rocky series and Adrian Balboa. She took birth in New York City, the USA on 25th August 1946 and originally got named as Talia Rose Coppola.

She got nominated for the Academy Award twice and also earned a nomination in the Golden Globe Awards for her role in Rocky and the Godfather. She has received some Awards such as Best Supporting Actress by New York Film Critics Circle and National Board of Review. Her original name is Talia Rose Coppola as she belongs to the Italian descent. She became the only daughter of composer Carmine Coppola and Italia Pennino.

Francis Ford Coppola, the well-known, filmmaker, and screenwriter is her brother. Actor Nicolas Cage is her nephew. She got married two times; from 1970-1980 to David Shire and 1980-1994 to Jack Schwartzman. She has four sons, Jason, Robert, and John from her second marriage and Matthew from her first. Talia started her career with the Wild Racers in 1968 where she played a minor role. After working in a couple of films, her breakthrough came in 1972 with the movies Godfather and its sequel Godfather Part 2.

She got nominated for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress in 1974 for her role of Connie Corleone. Two years later she played Rocky Balboa’s love interest in Rocky. She has received some Awards such as Best Supporting Actress by New York Film Critics Circle and National Board of Review.

Also, Talia earned a nomination in the Golden Globe Awards and the Oscars for her role in Rocky. She appeared in other Rocky sequels as well.
