Vic's father, Harry Morozoff, worked as an electrical engineer while his mother, Jean (Kress) Morozoff, was a housewife.

When he turned seventeen, he left the high school and briefly joined the United States Navy. However, later Vic attended Florida Southern College to become a lawyer but gave it up to pursue drama. He enrolled himself into the Mexico City College to study the nitty-gritty of the performing arts.

In 1955, Vic debuted on the big screen with the Blackboard Jungle. Since then Vic has starred in Tribute to a Bad Man, The Law and Mr. Jones, Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law, The Night That Panicked America, and much more.

He even directed two episodes of Combat!, Deathwatch, and A Man Called Sledge. In 1963, Vic won a nomination for the Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Continued Performance by an Actor in a Series for his portrayal of  Sergeant Saunders in Combat.

On July 23, 1982, while shooting for an action sequence involving a helicopter in California. The rotorcraft was hovering just twenty-four above their heads. Unfortunately, the exceptional effect pyrotechnic's heat caused an explosion of the machine and killed him instantly.

Two of his costars, Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen, died with him as well since they were present at the location with him. Vic's children sued the makers of the movie but later settled the dispute outside the court for an unknown amount.

The court adjudged director John Landis, four of his defendants, and Dorsey Wingo, a pilot, as the accusers. His family and well-wishers buried him in Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, Culver City, California.

However, after seven years of being together, the marriage went kaput. Soon after the divorce, Jennifer broke all ties with her father.

She even dropped Morrow from her surname. In 1975, he got married to Gale Lester. However, even this union couldn't pass the test of time. Rick Jason was one of his friend from the film industry. According to him, Vic had a pleasant sense of humor and hated firearms and violence.
