Tyler likes to play baseball, football and basketball. He also likes to swim. He started playing the piano at the age of two. He started taking acting lessons at the age of five after he was spotted at a birthday party in Northridge in California. Tyler made his acting debut in a commercial for Sprint. He then appeared in a Hallmark advertisement as Daniel in 2001, for which he won an Outstanding Young Performer in a National Commercial award from the Young Artists Award in April 2002. He also appeared in television commercials for Macy’s Super Saturday Sale in 2002, Home Depot in 2003, Walt Disney World: Magical Gatherings in 2003, Yahoo in 2006 and Dairy Queen in 2008.
