Born in Peekskill, New York Click to look into! >> Read More... , Stanley is not only an American actor but also a film director and a producer. He even writes scripts of Hollywood films. Tucci was brought up in Katonah, and his father was Tropiano, who was a secretary and a writer. Both of his parents were Italian and belonged to Calabria. They were three children, and Stanley was the oldest one. Christine Tucci, his sister, is an actress and Joseph Tropiano, who is a screenwriter, is his cousin. Since his parents were also from Italy, he spent a year living there.

First went to John Jay High School, then to SUNY Purchase where he achieved graduation in acting in 1982. Many other used to be his classmates. One of them was Irving Rhames, today's Ving. Stanley gave him this nickname. In the year 1983, he first acted the role of a soldier in a Broadway skit named The Queen and the Rebels co-starring Campbell Scott. Three years later he made his debut through the film Prizzi's Honour. The film was an average grocer.

He had to work then in theaters for some time where he achieved enough recognition. Gradually, his acting improved, and he did marvelous work in movies like Kiss of Death, The Pelican Belief, Beethoven, Big Night, etc., and also in television series like Murder One in which he played the role of mysterious Richard Cross. Till now, he had not achieved much name and fame. The year 1996 had been the turning point. He and his cousin Joseph co-wrote a script and decided to direct it together with Stanley himself being the actor in it.

The film was named Big Night and came in the year 1996. It was such a huge success that it was featured at the Sundance Film Festival and moreover received the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay. The film had Christine Tucci, his sister as the actress and even Stanley's mother acted in it. Big Night was just the beginning of his success story. Films like Winchell grabbed three nominations for Golden Globe, and Stanley won it twice. He worked for HBO films as well and received high appreciation. His famous album for children is the word album named “The One and Only Shrek!”

He is a versatile actor as well as a director. He beautifully portrayed the character in the film “The Lovely Bones” and did many movies like “Captain America: The First Avenger”, “Julie and Julia”, etc. Unfortunately, Kathryn Tucci (first wife of Stanley) died of breast cancer in the year 2009. They had three children and had married in the year 1995. In 2015, they gave birth to a son named Matteo Oliver.
