Nick Nolte is an actor and an old time model. Nicholas King Nolte, his birth name, was born on 8th February 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, US. Franklin Arthur Nolte, his father, was a winner in a three-time letter of football at Iowa State University and Helen, Nick’s mother, was a buyer for the department store. Nancy, his older sister, was an executive at the Red Cross. He did his schooling from Westside High School, Omaha; he was part of the football team as the kicker of the school. When Nick took admission in another school, Benson High, he was suspended from there for fighting reason and also drinking beer while the practice session of football. Later, he went to Pasadena City College in Southern California, Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Phoenix College in Phoenix and on a football scholarship at Arizona State University, Tempe.

When he was in Eastern Arizona, he played the role of tight end in football, defensive end in basketball and forward as well as a catcher of the basketball team. Poor performance in studies stopped his education. Then he started his career in theater. He worked at different theaters all over the country like Pasadena Playhouse, The Stella Adler Academy and Old Log Theatre where he worked for three years. Nick was married to Sheila Page (1966-1970), Sharyn Haddad (1978-1983) and Rebecca Linger (1984-1994). He has two children namely Brawley and Sophie. Nick did modeling in the 1960s and early 1970s. He started his acting career doing TV shows like Rich Man, Poor Man, based on the novel by Irwin Shaw.

Later with his career, he also did the TV film and series like Winter Kill with Andy Griffith, Luck and many more. Nick made his debut in films with ‘Return to Macon County’ (1975); he played the role of Bo Hollinger. He then went on to do more than forty films. He acted in the films like ‘North Dallas Forty’ (1979) that was based on the novel of Peter Gent, ‘Down and Out in Beverly Hills’ (1986), ‘New York Stories’ (1989) and so on. He was nominated twice for Academy Award for Best Actor for the films ‘The Prince of Tides’ (1991) and ‘Affliction’ (1997). He has acted in various genres of films and has proved himself on a good note as an actor.
