Haifaa was born in Al Zulfi, Saudi Arabia. Haifaa graduated from the American University in Cairo finishing, her literature degree. She then achieved a Master’s from the University of Sydney in Direction and Film Studies. Haifaa is the first woman from Saudi Arabia who hailed as a filmmaker. Haifaa is married to Brad Niemann and has two children. She directed movies like Wadjda, The Perfect Candidate, Mary Shelly, and Never Ever After. Haifaa’s journey is very inspiring and heartwarming. She overcame many challenges in her life to reach where she is now. Haifaa is a role model for women around the world.
