Stefan Richter

Stefan Richter is a famous action director and stunt specialist, known for his work in films like Shivaay (2016), Vishwaroopam 2 (2018), Saaho (2019), Uri the Surgical Strike (2019), Vasantha Kalam (2020), Shershaah (2021) and Virata Parvam (2022). He was born on April 8, 1967, in Cuxhaven, Lower Saxony, Germany, and was interested in action stunts from childhood. 

When studying in school, he was a talented gymnast and trampoline champion. After graduating, he became a commercial diver, focusing on underwater welding and ship salvaging.  He also became a parachute instructor for some years.  In 1993, he became a stuntman, working in various films in Europe. In 2002, he became an action director and worked for Action Concept, one of Europe’s famous independent film production houses. 

After working for over 18 years with Action Concept, he decided to become an independent action director in 2008. Over the years, Stefan Richter has worked for both local and international films, television series, and short films as an action director and stunt coordinator. In 2016, he first worked as an action director and stunt coordinator in the thriller action film Shivaay and subsequently worked in Vishwaroopam 2 (2018),  Uri The Surgical Strike (2019), Vasantha Kalam (2020), Shershaah (2021)  and Virata Parvam (2022). On the personal front, he married Gabriele Richter in 2001 and lives in Spain with his family.
