Anand is a popular multilingual actor born in Hyderabad. His parents are VS Bharathi and Rajalakshmi. Bharathi worked in Brooke Bond India Ltd. Anand has three brothers, Ramesh, who works in Times of India as the Vice President of Finance; Suresh, a Professor and Bharat Arun, a cricketer. Anand made his debut as an actor with Karthik Muthuraman in Vanna Kanavugal that hit the screens in 1987. He was in his teens. After his successful debut with Karthik, luck favored Anand and his second film was with Kamal Haasan and Amala Akkineni in Sathya, the 1988 movie. In the same year, he shared the screen space with “Vijayakanth,” Radhika Sarathkumar, and Vani Viswanath in Poonthotta Kavalkaran, one of the hit films of Vijayakanth.
