Kirron Kher or Kirron Anupam Kher was Kiran Thakar Singh in real life. She was born on June 14, 1955 in Punjab, India and she was raised in Chandigarh. Because of her belief in numerology, she decided to alter her name from Kiron or Kiran to Kirron. She is a veteran Indian film and television actress. She is also a theatre artist and a television host who belongs to the Bhartiya Janata Party. She was voted in Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s Parliament. Kiran is the sister of Kanwal Thakar Kaur, a popular badminton player. She has a brother who died last 2003 and another sister who was married to a retired Naval Officer.Â
