Garwhal Post is Uttarakhand’s premiere daily in English and has completed 26 long years since its first publication on 26th September 1966. Satish Sharma is the elder son of veteran journalist Upendra Kumar Sharma, thus making him a second-generation journalist in his family. He has been an active professional in the field of journalism since the year 1988.

Satish Sharma completed his advanced course in journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Berlin. From a very young age, he was interested in the field of printing business and adorned different roles from technical to marketing. Since the start of the publication of Garwhal Post, he has worked hard to make it a success in a town like Dehradun. Over the years, he has also compered various shows for Doordarshan. He is also known for being vocal about Uttarakhand's development as an advanced spot. He advocated Uttarakhand as the favorite and leading destination for the shooting of movies and the entertainment industry.

Satish Sharma is an acclaimed and reputed Film Expert who has paved the way for filming movies in Uttarakhand.
