Reena Rawat was a renowned actress of the Garhwal Kumaon region. She was born and brought up in the Timli village of Pauri. Post-marriage, Reena shifted to Delhi to accompany her husband. Reena initially began her journey as a stage performer in 1996, completely oblivious of the opportunities that awaited her. It was her talent and determination that finally brought her to the foot-steps in the film industry. In the following years, she acted in several hit films of Uttarakhand and starred in numerous albums. She acted in the Fyoli Jawan Hoyege song by Narinder Singh Negi and Sushma, which brought her to the limelight in 2006. Apart from that, she also worked in- Bhagyaan Beti, Mayajaal, and Pushpa Chhori Paurikaal Ki.

She made a special place in the audience's heart with her performance in Pushpa Chhori. In the years she was active in the industry, she worked with several renowned actors like Punnu Gosai, Jaypal Negi, Geeta Unniyal, etc. With her charming presence, beautiful smile, and humorous nature, Reema was a blessing in the lives of all those around her. However, a long-time illness cut her life short. After being ill for quite some time, she succumbed to a heart attack in a hospital on 12th March 2020 at the mere age of 38. Uttarakhand will forever miss its ‘Pushpa Chhori’.
