Abenao Elangbam is a talented and renowned Manipuri movie actress. She was born on September 28, 1986, in Khongnang Makhong, Porompat DC Road, Imphal, Manipur. Abenao Elangbam predominantly works in the Manipuri cinema. Abenao Elangbam obtained her master’s in adult education from the Manipur University. Initially, she started her career as a theatre actress and worked under the People's Arts and Dramatic Association in Imphal. She debuted in the film industry with the movie Chingjaogum Lepliba Thamoi as a supporting actor. Later, she showcased her acting skills in the movies like Akhunba Mani, Cheinakhol, Naoshum and Thoiba Thoibi.

She got married after a while but she continued to work as an actress in movies. Abenao Elangbam is an incredible actress whose talent got recognised multiple times and she was awarded for showcasing her acting skills multiple notoriously. For instance, she won the award of Ashokumar Memorial Award at the 10^th Art and Culture Foundation Day of USU, Khura. At the seventh Manipur State Film Awards, Abenao Elangbam was awarded with the Special Jury award in 2010. Apart from that, during the year of 2013, she received the Best Actress Award for her role as the main lead in the movie Pabunggi Cycle at the 2nd SSS MANIFA. Abenao Elangbam worked in almost three movies during the year of 2007 and all of them were directed by Romi Meitei.

Next year, in 2018, she acted in various movies, which includes Lanmei Thanbi as the character Takhellei, Chumthang Makhong and played the role of Priyo's sister, and Ekhenglaktagi Red Rose. Eventually, she started working in various movies and some of them include Atiyagee Meenok, Nonglei (2099), Nongoubee, Nobap Thaja (2009), Nangdi Eigi Thawaini (2010), Thoudang (2010), Phijigee Mani Bicha (2011), Pabunggi Cycle, Punshi Chuppa Nangshe Eigini as the character Thaja, Ishwar Masu Angaobani (in which she played the role of Likla), Yairipok Thambalnu Amaga, Taru Tarubi Maktabee (2012), Western Sankirtan (2012), Ayeengbi, Yaiphare Yaiphare (2012), Ningolei, Tabunungda Akaiba Likli (2013), Eidee Kadaida (2014), Lakhi, Sathiba Danger (directed by Ajit Ningthouja), etc. During the year of 2016, she acted in the movies like Mashingkha as Mellei, Thammoi Ahum and Ingagee Thanil. Alongside, Abenao Elangbam has demonstrated her acting skills in several other films like Tangna Phangjaba Lan (2019), Korounganba 3 as the character Thoi, Bangladeshki Sana Tampha (2020), Ima Machet Icha Tangkhai (2021) in which she played the role of Thambal and Hoo Sangom in 2022.
