He was born to Naresh Saini and Sushma Devi in Rohtak, Haryana. From childhood, he had a keen interest in singing, but as his family was not financially strong, he had to struggle a lot to make his career. His father passed away when he was just in the sixth standard, and hence due to financial instability at a young age, Amit had to sell water tankers in the morning and focus on learning music at night. Guru Sonu Sharma was his singing teacher.
