Utpal Das

Utpal Das is a celebrated Assamese film actor. He was born on 14th December 1986 in Guwahati, Assam. He completed his primary schooling at Blue Bells School, Gurgaon, Haryana. Later, he shifted to Guwahati and continued his primary schooling at Pragjyotish English Medium High School. He then joined Faculty Higher Secondary School to finish high school. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Management from Gauhati Commerce College. His father’s name is Mr. Gokul Chandra Das and his mother’s name is Mrs. Bibha Das. He has a daughter named Sarisha Das. His first debut in an Assamese feature film was Dhon Kuberor Dhon in 2009 whereas his first acting debut was through the VCD film Ringa Ringa Mon in 2004.

He got a featured role in Munin Baruah's Raamdhenu, which was a huge success for the Assamese film industry. Other vcd films in which he has performed are Uroniya Mon, Junaki Mon, Janmoni, Abhimani Mon, Bohagot Birinar Biya, and Moromjaan. He played the role of "Bitul" in the film Doordarshan Eti Jantra. Some of his featured films include Raamdhenu, Rowd, Borolar Ghor, Durjon, Doordarshan Eti Jantra, and The Underworld.
