Bhargavi Chirmule is a renowned Marathi actress. She was born on March 29, 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and was raised in Mumbai-Girgaon. Subsequently, her family shifted to Dadar, Mumbai where she attended Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya High School. She finished her studies at Ruparel College in Mumbai. Bhargavi is a trained classical and Bharatnatyam dancer. Her sister, Chaitrali (wife of Lokesh Gupte) is also an actress. Bhargavi got married on February 25, 2012 to Pankaj Ekbote.
She started her acting career when she was about to graduate at Ruparel, where she works in drama and small plays. Later, she become popular for her appearances in several Marathi films and television serials. In 2010, she played the role of Priti in Sachin Pilgaonkar’s Marathi film, Ideachi Kalpana. She was starred as Arundhati Modak in the film, Kass in the same year. Later, she has done films like Dhagedore, One Room Kitchen, Gola Berij and made a special appearance in Navra Maza Bhavra. She also made a special appearance in the Marathi romantic comedy film, Sasu Cha Swayamwar in 2014. She is also part of another romantic film, Ishq Wala Love , which was produced and directed by Renu Desai. Recently, she learnt the lavni dance and performed in Jabbar Patel’s Yashwantrao Chavan.
