1. Nivedita Joshi Saraf
Nivedita Joshi Saraf was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra and completed her education there itself. She has worked in many Hindi and Marathi languages films before coming to join TV serials. She has acted as lead heroine in many Hindi and Marathi movies from 80s and early 90s. She was last spotted in Sapno se Bhare Naina TV Serial produced by Balaji Telefilms. In the show she replaced Mangal Kenkre who was initially decided to play the character which was later portrayed by Nivedita. There she played the role of the mother of lead (Gaurav S Bajaj) as Vibha Patvardhan who was very kind and faced the financial crisis.
Before Sapno se Bhare Naina, she was shown in another Balaji Telefilms famous show Sarvagun Sampann. The show aired the story of a poor family of Swara which was associated to theater in various places of Maharashtra. Swara along with family faced the strong opposition from society being a Lavani dancer. The show aired on NDTV Imagine channel.
Nivedita married to veteran Hindi and Marathi actor Ashok Saraf who has played numerous unforgettable characters in famous films like Singham series, Karan Arjun and the famous TV serial Hum Paanch which aired on ZeeTV in mid 90’s.

3. Vandana Gupte
Vandana Gupte is a legendary Marathi actress who can also be seen in Hindi TV serials. She has done numerous Marathi plays and is a popular theatre personality. She is a well known actress in Marathi cinema. She made her debut with Marathi movie Lapandav (1993), in which she portrayed the role of a lawyer. In 2006, she played a role of mother-in-law in Marathi movie Matichya Chuli.
Classical singer Manik Verma and Amar Verma are her parents and she is the sister of Bharti Achrekar and Rani Verma. She has worked in many Marathi movies and has been nominated for various movie awards. She played the role of Mrs. Archrekar in cricket based Bollywood movie titled “Meerabai Not Out” and portrayed the role of Mrs. Dandekar in the movie, “It’s Breaking News”.
In Hindi Television industry, she became popular as dominating Nilambari Pandey of Kareena Kareena serial which aired on Zee TV during the year 2004-05. She was also seen in Pandey Aur Pandey on Zee TV, which was a song countdown show. In Pandey Aur Pandey she again played the character of Nilambari Pandey. In 2008-09, she played a mother-in-law in Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka which aired on Colors. She was also seen as a goan lady Maria (Preeti's mother) in Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on SAB TV.

Well known Marathi theater actor Dilip Prabhawalkar had left his impact in stage, films and television circuits in Indian cinema. Besides acting in Marathi, he played minor roles in Hindi and Telugu languages too. Apart from acting, he left his indomitable impression in the field of literature as an author too. He has been an author of many plays and children’s story books. He became quite popular for portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 2006, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s classic film Lage Raho Munna Bhai.
He also did a cameo role as Rao Saab in the film Sarkar Raj, which had Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of a don. He also did another cameo role in Sharukh Khan’s Paheli. Some of the notable character that he portrayed in Marathi TV screen includes the character of Chimanrao which was based on a series of short story by CV Joshi. It was telecast in the year 1979 when TV programmes were in black and white. This Marathi comedy serial still haunts the Marathi viewers. After his successful stage performances in Lobh Nasav Hi Vinanti in 1991 that was based on a story by Vijay Tendulkar, the actor had never turned back. It was this stage performance that pulled him to stage acting career and thereafter he transformed his acting potentiality for many films, and television serials. He is the veteran theater personality in Marathi stage, who was born on 4th August, 1944. His career graph illustrates that he has acted over 6 Hindi films and 16 Marathi Films and 8 TV serials, which are notable. A sought-after actor has worked with many leading directors like Amol Palekar, Raj Kumar Hirani and Ram Gopal Varma in his long career. Even at a senior age, his spirit of acting never seems to fade away!

On January 6, 2013, at Ravindra Natya Mandir located in Mumbai, his drama Gela Madhav Kunikade set a world record, with its 10,700th performance. The drama ran for over 15 years.

Ashok Saraf was born on 4 June 1947. This popular Indian actor and comedian started his professional career in 1969, with his first acting role in the film Janaki. His career continues with roles in more than 250 Marathi films, such as Donhi Gharcha Pahuna, Haldikunku, Tumcha Aamcha Jamal, Javal Ye LajuNako, Chimanrao Gundyabhau, Deed Shahane, Duniya Kari Salam and a lot more. Most of the films he participated in are comedy films and it is interesting to mention that in a great part of these films he acts with the actor Laxmikant Berde.

This TV anchor also hosts some of the famous Marathi award shows. Apart from anchoring he also made debut in Marathi film as a lead Hero. The genius comedian won back to back three Zee Marathi awards for best anchoring for the show “Chala Hawa Yeu Dya”.
