1. Rasika Joshi

Rasika Joshi was an established actress and served in many Hindi and Marathi entertainment assignments. She was born to a Brahmin Marathi family and married to Mr. Girish Joshi who is also a notable name in Marathi film industry. She died on 7 July 2011 due the suffering from leukemia.


She initiated as theatre actress and started her carrier with Lata Narvekar’s Marathi play and ended with Ram Gopal Verma’s Hindi movie Not a Love Story. She was the part of many commercial successes like Gayab, Vastu Shashtra, Billu etc. She got engaged with Ram Gopal Verma in a work assignment of Ek Hasina Thi and got noticed by him. Thereafter she became his favorite and worked in many of his Hindi films.


For TV, she became the well known for Marathi assignments Prapanch, Ghadlay Bighadlay and Bua Alaa. She had also appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s Bandini where she portrayed the negative role of Tara Fui. The Serial narrated the story of a poor village girl who faced a lot of problems. Everything in her life had been fixed by the America returned queen Mohsina. The show aired on NDTV Imagine and produced under the banner of Balaji Telefilms.


In theatre, she wrote, directed, and acted in plays like White Lily & Night Rider which bagged many awards for her along with co-actor Milind Pathak.

2. Jitendra Joshi

Jitendra Joshi is a renowned Marathi theater artist. He is also popular as a film actor and reality show host. His versatility is evident from the fact that he has played the lead hero, side hero, comic hero and even villain. He is an actor who makes acting look so effortless and unpretentious. He is popular for his police roles. Apart from acting, he is also a very good writer. He collaborated with the famous duo Ajay-Atul for the superhit number”Kombdi Palai”. The famous item song “Chikni Chameli” was somewhat a copy of this song. Jitendra Joshi was born on 27 January 1978 in Mumbai. He was brought up in Mumbai itself. After finishing his schooling in Mumbai, he moved to Thane where he did his diploma from VPM’s Polytechnic.

3. Pushkar Shrotri

Pushkar Shrotri is an Indian film actor and TV artist and a director who has been active in Bollywood, Marathi films and theatre and TV as well. He has done his graduation from M L Dahanukar College. He has worked in more than 25 movies and is a renowned name in the Marathi Film Industry and has been active in movies since 2003.His work has been highly applauded in Marathi films movies like Haapus and Kay Dyache Bola. His main performances in Bollywood are in the blockbuster Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, and its sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai as a doctor. In 2009, he co-directed a Marathi film Haay Kaay Naay Kaay. He got critics appreciation for performing as super cop in the Rege (2014) in which he changed his look and style. He played the role of a real life ex police officer Sachin Waze in this new avatar, he had to take permission for this and he got it for the motive of the movie was to increase faith of people in police and he was compared to character Bajirao Singham for his incredible and powerful performance in the movie. His next movie Sata Lota Pan Sagla Khota released in September, 2014.               

         

On TV he has worked in Hasa Chakatfu that was telecasted on Zee Marathi and in Smart Sunbai telecasted on DD Sahyadri. His filmography includes Balkadu, the movie based on life on Balasaheb Thakre, PG- A Paying Ghost based on VP Kale’s novel Badali is a fun film showing a homesless ghost family and a common man, Sanshay Kallol is a movie between husband and wives and their comedy and worries about their partner cheating each other, Kai Karu Na Kasa Karu a comedy movie based on confusions that is very hilarious, Badam Rani Gulam Chor, Preet Tujhi Majhi a romantic movie for die heart lovers, Morya movie based on Ganeshotsav and how politics plays role in the festival, Anolkhi Hey Ghar Maze, a joint family movie which lives in Pune and many other movies as well. As stated by him acting is his full time profession and he is satisfied with the way things are going for him especially in the Marathi film industry where he is acknowledged and is working on continuous multiple movie projects in versatile and powerful roles.

4. Gautam Rajadhyaksha

Gautam Rajadhyaksha was a notable veteran fashion photographer and Bollywood screenplay writer who produced some excellently beautiful stills for Bollywood movies. He is considered to be India’s best portraitist who had photographed almost all legendry icons of the Indian film industry. He graduated in chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and then he pursued a diploma in advertising and public relations. His debut as a fashion photographer and portraitist was in 1980 when he shot Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, and Tina Munim. Soon he established himself as a glamour photographer and worked for various magazines including Celebrity, Stardust, Filmfare, and Cineblitz.

 

He also performed for various television talk shows as a host or anchor. In 1997, he released a coffee table book titled FACES. In this book, he constituted 45 profiles of important film personalities including Durga Khote to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. His debut film as a screenwriter was Bekhudi which was released in 1992. After that, he also worked as screenplay writer for Madhuri Dixit and Shahrukh Khan starrer Anjaam. He had produced movie stills for some of the successful Bollywood movies such as Hum Apke Hain Kaun!, Henna, Dil To Pagal Hai, Hu Tu Tu, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Ishq. A brilliant photographer and portraitist, Gautam Rajadhyaksha has also worked as a screenplay writer for various Bollywood movies.

Gautam Rajadhyaksha is a Chemistry graduate from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. Photography was his childhood interest, and he pursued his interest in it later in his life. He went on to become one of the famous photographers in Bollywood clicking pictures of legends like ‘Amitabh Bachchan’.
