Tom Alter is a multifaceted acting personality who has showcased his acting skills in television, Hindi movies and in theaters. Tom Alter was born on Jun22, 1950 in Mussourie, Uttarakhand, India to a family of Christian missionary ancestry and has been awarded with Padmashree award by the Govt. of India in the year 2008. Tom Alter started his acting career with theatres in the year 1976 and till date considers the Late superstar Rajesh Khanna as his idol and inspiration to take up the acting profession.  In his personal life, Tom Alter is married with two children, a son Jamie and daughter Afshaan.
