Daisy Irani is a well-known actress known for her acting during her childhood days in films of various languages. She was a prominent child star in the industry during the 50s and 60s along with her sister, Honey Irani.

Simple Kaul is an Indian actress known for Shararat. Shararat – Thoda Jaadu, Thodi Nazaakat was a show on Star Plus, which had Jiya (Shruti Seth) as its main protagonist. It was a story about magic and fairies living on earth as Jiya’s Mother was married to a human. 

Simple was playing a negative role. Her character was Parminder Sohni aka Pam. Jiya and Dhruv were best friends and had feelings for each other but Pam (Simple) wanted to have Dhruv to herself and managed to hurt Jiya whenever possible.

Simple has played other various roles and appeared in serials. She played the role of Pratham Mann’s Sister on Sony TV’s Kutumb Season 2 (2001- 2003). In 2004 she was a part of Ye Meri Life Hai where she played the character of Reema (2004-2005). She was Simi in Aisa Des Hai Mera (2006) and Roopa in Tujko Hai Salaam Zindagi (2007-2008). Other Shows on Sony TV that she was featured in were Saas Bina Sasural and an episode of Aahat (Season 6).

She was also a part of Star Plus’s Show Khichdi where she made a guest appearance and was supporting cast in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby and then off course Shararat where she played the negative lead. 

She was also part of some shows on Sahara One. She played an important character in Sab TV’s Show Twinkle Beauty Parlour Lajpat Nagar (2006), Nikita in Maniben.com (2009-2010) and was featured in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah a popular show on SAB TV, Jugni Chali Jalandhar a comedy series aired on SAB TV from 2008 to 2010 and Jeannie Aur Juju again a SAB TV show. She also did a few roles on Disney Channel Shows like Sanya and Oye Jassie and was a part of Zee TV’s Show Teen Bahuraaniyaan and & TV’s Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls.

Farida Jalal is a veteran film and television actress from India. She was born on March 14, 1949 at New Delhi. Farida was known for doing comedic roles but she also laid her hands to doing lead and supporting roles in more than 100 Bollywood films and has been part of the television industry for quite a long time. The actress started her career in 1960’s after winning the Filmfare’s United Film Producers Talent Hunt. She was luckily selected as finalists, together with Bollywood producer and actor, Rajesh Khanna. Farida got a film offer for the first time to do the film, Taqdeer which was offered by Tarachand Barjatya who is one of the audiences at that time. She gained her popularity after essaying a supporting role in the top-grossing romantic drama film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995. This film is a blockbuster hit that earns a total of ?122 Crore in India and abroad. Farida also got the Best Supporting Actress Award in Filmfare Awards for her marvelous role as Lajjo Singh, the mother of Simran (played by Kajol).

Initially, Farida usually bagged the role of a sister or a scorned fiancée of the lead actors but she never bag the female lead role. She was critically acclaimed for her role as Alka Sharma, the mentally ill fiancée of Raj (played by Rishi Kapoor) in the Bollywood film, Bobby in year 1973 which was directed by Ram Kapoor. In the 80’s, she progressively turned her roles into an aunt, nani or a mother. She was notable for her role as Renu, the girlfriend of Arun (played by Rajesh Khanna) in Shakti Samanta’s film, Aradhana from which she sang the song, Bagon Me Bahar Hai, Kaliyon Pe Nikhar Hai. When she stayed in Bangalore from 1983 to 1990, she took a hiatus on acting. In 1990s, she acted in various blockbuster films in India such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai and a lot more. The actress finally bags the lead role in Shyam Benegal’s film, Mammo in 1995. This film received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi and Farida got the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. She also received the Best Supporting Actress Nomination for acting as the Ravi Khanna’s (played by Amitabh Bachchan) handicapped sister in the Hindi crime film, Majboor. Farida acted as the female lead in the film, Jeevan Rekha. Farida also received the Filmfare’s Best Supporting Award from the films, Paras and Henna. She got the Best Actress Award in the Harlem International Film Festival through the English Independent film, A Gran Plan in year 2012. The film was directed by Sangeeta Nambiar and stars Oliver Kennett. It was also screened in different Film Festivals in 2012.

Besides her long journey in the silver screen, the actress also made a name in the small screen industry. She has been part of the television serials like Dekh Bhai Dekh, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Balika Vadhu and more. She was starred on SAB TV’s comedy serial, Ammaji Ki Galli and in the fantasy sitcom, Shararat – Thoda Jaadu, Thodi Nazaakat which was aired on Star Plus and later, it was re-aired many  times on various channels. She also hosted Star Yaar Kalakaar, Star Parivar Awards and the 50th Filmfare Awards together with Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre.

Farida got married to her late husband, Tabrez Barmavar from Bhatkal in November 1978. When she settled in Bangalore from 1983 to 1990, she live with her husband and son, Yaseen since her husband is running a soap factory business there.

Farida Jalal was born on 14th March 1949 in New Delhi. She is 5’ 1” tall. She met Tabrez Barmavar on the sets of Jeevan Rekha and fell in love with him during the shooting of the film. They got married in 1978. As she was not getting many film offers after marriage, they moved to Bangalore where her husband had a soap factory business. Unfortunately, he died in 2003. She has also been a part of Indian television, with hit sitcoms such as Dekh Bahi Dekh and Shararat (Thoda Jadu, Thodi Nazaakat) to her credit. She acted in more than 200 films, in various roles, — often playing the stereotypical Bollywood mother, from 1963 to 2012, for five decades.

Shruti Seth is a leading TV presenter, VJ and Hindi-TV actress. She is from a very humble family background and never imagined to be a TV-star someday. Shruti began her career as a guest relation executive in the Taj Mahal Hotel, when she was approached for modeling assignments. She accepted the assignments and soon featured in a series of advertisements. Shruti soon became a well-known face in the advertisement industry. In 2007, Shruti got her first major break as an anchor and she hosted eight seasons of ‘Comedy Circus’ since then. She also hosted the show ‘Kaante Ki Takkar’ and ‘Rishta.com’ during this time.

Throughout her career, Shruti also appeared in a series of popular Hindi films, of which her role in ‘Rajneeti’ was a remarkable one.  

In 2013, Shruti last appeared in the TV-serial ‘Baal Veer’. Currently, she is concentrating on her event management company “My Company”.

Karanvir Bohra who is a very popular Indian TV actor was born on August 28 1982 in Rajasthan. His real name is Manoj Bohra but he changed it to Karanvir Bohra. In 2008 he played the role of Viraj Dobriyal in popular drama Dil Se Di Dua Saubhgyavati Bhava for which he got best Anti hero award. The character of Viraj Dobriyal was praised by the audience. He made his Bollywood debut in 2007 from the movie Kismat Connection. He got married with his girlfriend Teejay Sidhu in 2006. Teejay Sidhu is a Canadian film actress, channel V Vj and model. karanvir and his wife did a punjabi movie together Love you Soniye in 2013.

He appeared in many reality shows like Nach Baliye (2008) ,Welcome- Baazi Mehman Nawazi ki (2013) , Jhalak Dikhla Ja (2013), Khatro Ke Khiladi(2014). He showed his dancing skills in Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhla ja. He performed in Nach Baliye season 4 with his wife Teejay Sidhu. In khatro Ke Khiladi, he was one of the toughest contestants.
