Rangbaaz is a ZEE5 Original web series launched on 22 December 2018. It is a crime, action, and thriller series made against the rustic background of Gorakhpur in the 1990s. The series showcases the life of Shiv Prakash Shukla, who was the most wanted gangster of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This series showcases his life journey from a DDU student to becoming the second most wanted criminal of India.
Other characters related to his life are Ram Shankar Tiwari who was inspired by Hari Shankar Tiwari, and Chandra Bhan Singh inspired by Suraj Bhan Singh who was former MP from Mokama, Bihar.
