B.P.Singh originally hails from Dehradun and he completed his education in film studies from Film and Television Institute of India [FTII], Pune, Maharashtra, India. After graduating from FTII, Bijendra Pal Singh started his career with Indian National Television Channel Doordarshan channel as a news camera man in the year 1973.
