 Jayasuriya is directed by Suseenthiran and this film is the perfect fodder to Vishal’s action stunts. This film has a powerful storyline and Vishal has given a fabulous performance. There is surely originality in this film but there is lack of nativity.Â
 Kajal Agarwal is just another character in this film having no platform for performance. Vishal enacts the role of an undercover cop and there is some creativity in the film though the idea is seen many times. Jayasuriya, the protagonist, has his unique method of doing things. The audience is in for a surprise through Jayasuriya’s character.Â
 The second half of the film is not as catchy as the first half. This role is nothing new to Vishal and he plays it with much gusto. The screenplay is commendable. Behind his brave character, Vishal also has a side which is sentimental. But the director is very careful that the sentiments are not overdosed; there is restraint. Even Vishal strikes the right balance between emotions and action.Â
 As much as the film banks on the storyline, it falters a bit as far as scenes are concerned. The comedy of the film is average. The cinematography of Velraj is neat and music of Imam is brilliant.
