Aparna Balamurali is an actress in Indian cinema who predominantly acts in Malayalam movies. Her debut film was ‘Oru Second Class Yathra’ (2015)where she played the character of Vineeth Sreenivasan's lover. She appeared as the pair of Vineeth in flashback scenes This film was directed by Jexon Antony and Rejis Antony. After this movie, she was associated with another Malayalam movie ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’. The film was produced by filmmaker Aashiq Abu, who directed films like 'Daddy Cool' and 'Salt N Pepper' and Dileesh Pothan directed the movie. In the movie, she not only played the role of a college student as Jimsy Augustine but also lent her voice for one song ‘"Mounangal" along with Vijay Yesudas. This film placed her in the list of recognition as an actress.

Anjali Aneesh Upasana is an actress, who predominantly works in South Indian movie Industry. It was while pursuing a degree that she started doing advertisements and modeling. Anjali was noticed by the producers working in the entertainment industry and was offered roles in programs of reputed channels, like Asianet, Kairali and Jeevan TV. She is married to Aneesh Upasana, who is a director and screenwriter in Malayalam Film Industry. Anjali was born in the Ernakulam district of Kerala in the year 1984. She did her schooling from a reputed educational institution in Tripunithura. She is an alumnus of NSS College, Tripunithura. Anjali changed her on-screen name to Bhagyanjali to attract the luck goddess. She has also acted in several albums like LA Cochin. She has acted in more than 75 albums and advertisement campaigns. That is how Anjali got a chance to enter into the world of cinema. She made her debut through Seniors, a film starring Kunchako Boban, Biju Menon, Manoj K Jayan, Ananya and Jayaram. Afterward, she acted in films like Scene 1 Nammude Veedu, Venicile Vyaapaari, 5 Sundarikal and ABCD.

Kaviyoor Ponnamma is the evergreen mother of Malayalam cinema. Ever since she was just 22, she had been portraying effectively the mother role in Malayalam movies. Even after 55 years of her contribution in silver screen, she continues to play the “evergreen amma” character. Her first offer was in Thommante Makkal (1965) where she played mother to Sathyan and Madhu. After this role, the industry had heaped so much praise on her performance and there was no looking back at all. For her wealth of experience in the industry, she only gets love and acceptance from the viewers. That is why she finds playing mother role in cinema as honor. Actually, she wanted to become a singer in cinema, but her dream did not become true. While she sang songs for the dramas that were staged in Kerala, she could not get such film offers. She performed on stage when she was just 14 years old. Hence, she is always thankful to the theaters which taught her basic in acting. 

She has acted in over 1,000 films, and has won many state awards for her best supporting role in cinema (in the year 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974). She recalls very often that during her time, acting was taken up very seriously and it was just means of livelihood. But the present generation finds acting as passion and pastime job only. While there was some opposition from her mother in taking up acting as her career, it was her father who had supported her fully when she was a stage artiste performer in Kerala. It was just two years before that she had settled in Aluva after shifting from Chennai. In Chennai, she had stayed for 38 years. She also acted as grandmother and mother and appeared in some advertisement. Kaviyoor Ponnamma had acted in the mother role for the actors like Satyan and Prem Nazir. But people recognized her when she did the mother role for actor Mohanlal.

Vanitha Krishnachandran is another of Mollywood’s long running actors, having featured in over 150 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She played the lead role in several movies in the 1980’s before taking a break after her wedding. 

Born to a Malayali father, Ganeshan, and a Tamilian mother Kamala, Vanitha entered the movie industry as a 13 year old, debuting in Padai Maarinal, in which she played the role of a school girl. Her Malayalam debut was in the movie Chandrabimbam, which starred Jayabharathi, MG Soman, Prathap Pothen and Sathar in the lead roles, directed by Sankaran Nair. Her subsequent roles in the movies Eenadu, Enickum Oru Divasumand Kaikeyi made her a popular actress, featuring roles opposite Mohanlal and Mammootty, in Keezhvanum Sivackum, and Vikadakavi respectively.

She also featured in movies such as Belt Mathai, Vanitha Police, and Deeparadhana, paired along with the actor Krishnachandran, whom she later married in 1986. Among the last movies made before she took a break for her family was the movie Kalyana Agathigal, which marked the debut of actor Nassar. The Tamil drama movie was directed by K Balachander and featured the actress Saritha in the lead role, with Vanitha playing a supporting role.

She featured in roles portraying Mata Amrithanandamayi and Kaali, in her reprisal roles in a tele-series. She made her comeback to Tamil TV in a negative role in the TV series Kaalamulaitha Aasai, and has continued with her roles in serials including Alaigal and Kolangal, and in Malayalam serials including Amma Manasu.

Ranjini is a famous, popular and successful actress who is known for her commendable performances for essaying challenging roles in both commercially successful and critically acclaimed Malayalam and Tamil movies. Actress Ranjini, whose real name is Sashi Selvaraj was born in the year 1970 to the Singapore based Keralite parents Selvaraj and Lily Selvaraj in Singapore, who are originally from Tirunelveli, Kerala, India. Ranjini aimed from childhood to make her mark and her career in the corporate world but destiny had something else planned for her. She was spotted by director P. Bharathiraja, who was a friend of Ranjini’s father and she made her debut in the year 1985 in his Tamil film Mutha Mariyathai, which went to be critically acclaimed film and Sasha Selvaraj a .k.a Rajini's performances was well appreciated. Though initially Ranjini shifted to India taking a short break from her studies hoping to return to Singapore after the shoot was over, after her first film released, acting offers came pouring in and she thought to give acting a serious try. In the year 1993, after acting in the movie Customs Diary, Ranjini quit movies at the peak of her career and went back to Singapore to complete her studies and went to get her degree in credit management from London and later a law degree and became a graduate lawyer. Ranjini a.k.a Sasha Selvaraj worked with BBC also for a short while and is currently married to Keralian businessman Pierre Kombara and is working as a joint director in an overseas education institute in Kochi, Kerala. Ranjini made her comeback in the Malayalam Movie Industry after a hiatus of almost two decades with Malayalam film Koothara directed by director Srinath Rajendran which released on February 9, 2014.

K.P.A.C Lalitha is known for her character Mayavathi Amma in the super hit comedy serial ‘Thattiyum Muttiyum.’ She is one of the finest Malayalam Cinema and Serials actors, known for her acting in very distinctive and versatile roles in hundreds of movies. She has won National Award twice for the movies Amaram (directed by her husband) in 1991 and Shantam in 2000. She has also won several state awards and many television awards.

Bhagyalakshmi is a popular artiste who has worked in around 18 Malayalam films and has worked as a dubbing artiste in more than 2000 Malayalam Movies. Bhagyalakshmi is mostly known as a dubbing artiste who has mostly dubbed for another famous and noted Malayalam movie actress Shobhana. She is also known as Bhagyam. Bhagyalakshmi was born on November 1, 1962 to her parents Kumaran Nair and Bhargavi Amma who hails from Powaat Tharavadu Calicut and Kurupath Tharavad, Shoranur respectively in Kerala, India. She is the youngest of three siblings. She has an elder sister named Indira Nair and brother Unni Nair. Bhagyalakshmi completed her PUC degree (Pre-University Course) from Calicut before venturing into the glittering world of Malayalam movies. Bhagyalakshmi lost her parents in early childhood. Bhagyalakshmi started her career as a dubbing artiste at the tender age of 10. Aparadhi was one of her early works as a dubbing artiste. She also acted in Malayalam films. Some of her films in which she showcased her acting skills are – Manassu, Kayam, Ashtram, Gaanam, Chilambu, etc. Bhagyalakshmi has been working in the Malayalam movie industry for over 35 years now and is the one to won awards for best dubbing artiste for the maximum number of times in the history of Malayalam movies. Some of her awards she received are- Kerala State film awards in the year 1991, 2002, 1995 and 2012 for the films Ormayundayirikkanam, Kusruthikattums and many more. Bhagyalakshmi married K. Ramesh Kumar on October 1985 and they have two sons who are currently pursuing their engineering degrees in Bangalore and Chennai respectively. They duo later divorced. Bhagyalakshmi has also written her autobiography Bhagyalakshmi Swarabhedangal published in the year 2012 which won many accolades.
 

Prayaga Rose Martin is an Indian actress and a native of Kerala. She was born on 18th May 1995 in Kochi, Kerala.

Sithara Krishnakumar, or as we call her Sithara, is a splendid playback singer. She started off her career in 2007 with her first song ‘PammiPammi’. She got a kick to her profession after winning several musical talent shows like AsianetSapthaSwarangal (2004), Kairali TVGandharvaSangeetham and Jeevan TV Voice. She has now given her voice to over fifty film songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Her forte is folk and fusion genres of music. Sithara is on a musical roller-costar with a specialty in various styles including Hindustani classical, Carnatic and Gazals. Born in Kozhikode, Kerala, this lady started to sing at the age of as early as four. She was born and brought in the music world as the family was already inclined towards classical art.

Muthumani Somasundaran now known as Muthumani is a South Indian star, who mainly acts in Malayalam movies. She made her movie debut through Rasathanthram by Sathyan Anthikkad in 2006. She now performs original roles in Malayalam movies. Muthumani was born in the Ernakulam town of Kerala to Sherly Somasundaran and Somasundaran. They were working in the theatre field, which inspired her to join into the theatre shows. She studied at the St. Mary's Convent Girls High School in Ernakulam. She has acted like a child actress for All India Radio.

Ponnamma Babu is a noted character artist known for portraying satire roles. She is a trained Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam dancer as well. She entered into theater when she was 15 years. After her marriage to noted theater director Babu, she quit acting in her early age. She made her movie debut in 1996 in Padanayakan playing wife to the noted actor Rajan P Dev. Even though it was a small character she got recognized with her unique acting skills. She has done many character roles as mother, sister, sister-in-law, which were all performance oriented. She never looked for the length of the role she had, but how important the role was in the movie. She started dubbing for herself after Ennu Swantham Janakikutty which gave her recognition for her unique voice and her humorous dialogue delivery. She has acted in almost more than 150 movies so far and still doing good character role in movies.

Her television debut was in comedy serials like Cinemala, which addressed the day today issues either political or social in a comic way. Cinemala is a comedy programme broadcasted in Asianet once a week since 1993 completing more than 1000 episodes and considered to be the oldest programme being broadcasted in a channel. She also acted in the comedy serial Sanmanasullavarkku Samadhanam, a serial about hopes, dreams, politics and culture with gentle humor and funny dialogues. It was also a breakthrough for the National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu who was also part of it. 

She focuses more on acting in movies than serials and expects to get more strong and deep roles in movie in the future. She is settled in Kottayam, with her husband and her three children; two daughters Deepthi Nirmala and Pinky, and a son Mathew Damien. Her daughter Pinky has made her movie debut in the movie Nakshathrangal in 2014 and her movie Mr. Paavanayi 99.99 is expected for release shortly.

Indian film director Sooraj Tom has directed several famous ads in his career. He is well known for his work predominantly in Kollywood. Sooraj Tom's previous film to hit the theatres was Pava in the year 2016. He started production company-Sooraj tom productions Showreel. 

Ajish Thomas is a screenplay, story and dialogue writer in Malayalam movies. He got his first break in the movie ‘Paa.va Paappanekurichum Varkkiyekurichum’ which was directed by Sooraj Tom and the film released in 2016. Let us call the movie in short as Pa... Va. The film did not click well in the box office. The film script has perhaps been better marketed if it was taken to the theatre and not for cinema. Although before the movie release, it was claimed to be a family entertainer, the film failed in every angle due to a poor narration, a haphazard screenplay and some unwanted dialogues which only led to boredom. The script was sure like a family drama seen often in TV series but could not be a thorough entertainer that is needed for movies. It would have been better if the script was lifted for some TV series or even stage drama.

Satheesh Kurup is an Indian cinematographer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He took up a challenging task of photography from his first film ‘Anwar,’ and this film is still considered to be one of his best works so far. He owes an inspiration as a cinema technician from cinematographer and director Balu Mahendra. He was very much determined to be a part of the cinema. But before he could make a plunge in cinema, he was a still photographer in his college club. His continuous passion for cinematography brought him closer to many producers and directors of Malayalam cinema. While he was a still photographer in the college club, he took up the role of an assistant cameraman for Big B, which had cinematography by Samir Tahir. Later on, he had followed up as an operating cameraman for movie ‘Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded’ which had Mohanlal,

Anand Madhusoodanan is an Indian music director and film score composer who is vividly known for his works in Malayalam cinema. His career as a music Composer started back in 2012, where he released his first song named Aanaykkeduppathu featured in the movie Molly Aunty Rocks. One of his most famous songs Naalu Kompulla Kunjaana released back in 2017,

Santhosh Varma is a well known Tamil Lyricist and has done many movies. He has written the lyrics of many amazing movies and the audience like the songs written by him. Songs are the most important part of the movies as the music attracts the audience the most. Songs of the movies are released even before the movie and most of the people like music a lot. Murali Gopy is a very revered name in the Malyalam film industry. He has written, acted and sung for various films. He is best known for Ee Adutha Kaalathu and Left Right Left. He reprised the role of an actor, screenwriter and singer for his debut film Rasikan (2004). He then returned to the big screen after a five year hiatus with Bhramaram (2009) opposite stalwarts like Mohanlal. The film gave him instant recognition and fetched him the Filmfare Award for best supporting actor.

Vijay Yesudas (Born: 23rd March, 1979) is an Indian classical musician and playback singer from Chennai. He is known for his work predominantly in the south Indian film Industry, especially Malayalam, and Tamil films as well as in other Indian Languages such as Telegu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Jothish Shankar is a South Indian art director who works in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for his work in several Malayalam feature films like Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti and Kaadu Pookkunna Neram. He has worked with directors like Salim Ahmad, Dr. Biju, Anil Radhakrishnan Menon and Sunil Ibrahim. Jothish hails from Alappuzha in Kerala. He currently lives in Ernakulam in Kochi in Kerala. He joined the Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts in Mavelikkara in Kerala on 7th June 1995 from where he graduated on 10th June 2001. Filmmakers and critics first noticed Jothish for his work as an Art Director in the film Adaminte Makan Abu co-produced, directed and written by Salim Ahmad. The film hit the screens on 24th June 2011. It received several awards and accolades.

Arun Manohar is a costume designer in Malayalam movies. His debut on the big screen was with the film ‘Alice: A True Story', directed by Anil Das, that released in 2014. In the same year, Biju’s Bhaskar Nari too gave him a break in his movie ‘@Andheri’. In both the movies, his job got special attention. As both the movies had characters of our society, his costume designs got special applause. Arun Manohar also became popular in Malayalam movies like ‘Kunjiramayanam’ and ‘Balyakalasakhi’. In the year 2016, he designed costumes for Murali Gopy and Anoop Menon who were in the lead roles in 'Pa Va' and for Mohanlal in the movie 'Pulimurugan' and in the year 2016, he had designed costumes for Mammootty in a film named 'PullikkaranStaraaa'.

Kiran Das is a Malayalam film industry editor. He is best known for movies like Joseph in 2018, Moothon in 2019 and Samaksham in 2018. He won Asianet Film Award for best editing in 2018 for the movie Thondimuthalum Dhriksakshiyum. This film is a National award-winning film. In 2019 he has done movie Ishq. This romance thriller drama was written by Ratheesh Ravi and directed by Anuraj Manohar. Kiran has not learned to edit, he learned it himself by experience and learning. He has also worked for documentaries, short films, ads, and music videos. He worked as an assistant editor with V Sajan on Tamaar Padar. This movie was directed by Dileesh Nair.

Ranjith Ambady is an eminent Make-up artist from India. He is well known for his prominent skills in the field. He has worked abundantly in the South-Indian film industry. His best-known work includes Thanmatra, Paleri Manikyam, Palunku, How old are you? and Takeoff. He has acted as a paragon of efficient completion of the task. Ranjith went to Veteran actor Ndumudi Venu’s residence, with the director Blessy, to read the script. The residence was situated at Thiruvananthapuram. Venu was supposed to play a role of 70 years old father, Mohanlal in the movie. While Venu was reading the script, Ranjith tried a look at Venu. He did not pay any heed to the look since he was busy listening to the script. Soon the visitors were welcomed to have tea and snacks in the dining room. There Ranjith witnessed several monochromic portrays of family members of Venu, hanging on the wall.

Anoop Menon is an Indian film actor, script writer and lyricist born on Aug 3, 1977 in Kozhikode and bought up in Thiruvananthapuram. Anoop is a law graduate and completed his degree in Government law college, Thiruvananthapuram. During his academic years he was anchoring shows in Kairali TV and Surya TV. 

He started his career by playing a leading role in a popular Malayalam TV serial called “Swapnam” broadcasted by Asianet. Anoop made his debut as a script writer in the movie “Pakal Nakshatrangal” in which Mohanlal got Mathrubhumi award and Kerala film critic award for best actor. 

Anoop Menon made his debut as an actor through the Malayalam movie “Kattuchembakam” in the year 2002. He acted in around 7-8 movies, including “Pakal Nakshatrangal” for which he wrote the script. He has acted in 48 Malayalam films till date and in a Hindi movie “Anubhav” in 2009. 

The movie “Thirakkatha” and the role “Ajay Chandran” was a real break for the actor in his career. The movie plot was based on the big time romance of the actor Kamal Haasan and the late actress “Srividya” in late 70’s. The film won the National award for best feature film and the actress “Priyamani” won the Filmfare award for her character “Malavika” in the year 2009. 

He played “Ravi Abraham” in the movie beautiful which bought a new hit combo in Mollywood, Anoop Menon and Jayasurya. Later on, they appeared together in 4 movies, including “David and Goliath” and “Hotel California”, which portrayed a low profile at the box office but all the other movies were box office hits. Currently, the hit duo has taken a small break from teaming up. His upcoming projects are Dolphin and She-Taxi. Ammanath Babu Chandran is popularly known as Idavela Babu.  He is a movie-serial artist, anchor, dubbing artist, event manager and a businessman from Kerala. Babu’s debut movie   Idavela was released in the year 1981. Babu was born at Irinjalakuda as the son of Mr. Raman and Mrs. Santa. Babu was deeply interested in dancing since his childhood and has won several prizes and scholarships. Babu is currently the Executive Committee Member of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (Amma). He has several important responsibilities like VP of Artistes of Cinema & TV Media Co-operative Society Ltd, Member of FEFKA, MACTA, SICADU, CONTACT, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, SIIFA, Television Chamber, etc.Co-operative Society Ltd, Member of FEFKA, MACTA, SICADU, CONTACT, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, SIIFA, Television Chamber, etc.

Indrans, who was born as K. Surendran, is a Malayalam actor and costume designer. He has acted predominantly in many comedy films and over 250 films. He is the second child out of the seven children of Gomathi and Palavila Kochuvelu in Thiruvananthapuram, India in the year 1951. Indirans made his schooling at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kumarapuram until his fourth grade. 

Subsequently after, he assisted his uncle in his tailoring business. He participated in amateur arts and performed dramas. After this, he established a tailoring shop called Indrans, from where he got his stage name ever since he started acting in films. Indrans was debuted in Choothattam as a costume designer before he started his acting career. 

He is the cousin of the National award winning costume designer, Indrans Jayan. He got married to Santhakumari on February 23, 1985, and the couple was blessed with two children. When he debuted in the film industry, he had the chance to meet several filmmakers such as Prem Nazir, Jose Prakash, Sattar, Pappu and Jayabharathi, but he focused only in doing costume designing for many years and did small roles on the big screen. 

Later on, he started to receive many opportunities from prominent directors such as Padmarajan, Sibi Malayil, Shaji N. Karun, K. Madhu and Venu Nagavally. The 1994 Malayalam film, CID Unnikrishnan B.A. B.Ed is the turning point of his career, where he acted as the best friend of Jayaram’s character. His comedic action clicked among the audiences, and he became one of Kerala’s mainstream comedians. Since then, he became the busiest till date. 

As an actor, he used his slim and lean figure and his distinctive accent to win the attention of the audience. Kottayam Pradeep or Krishnettan, as he is popularly known, is a serial actor who hails from Kottayam, Kerala. He got educated from Manarcaud St.Mary’s College. He associated himself with several drama troupes along with his studies. His first serial was, “Swararagam”, and his character, Venkichu, was highly appreciated. He has also acted in the serial, “Autograph”. He is currently acting in the most popular serial currently being aired on Asianet named, “Parasparam”. He won the Asianet Television Award, 2014 as the Best Actor in a Character Role, for playing the character Krishnan in “Parasparam”.

A firebrand script-writer, actor, director, and producer, that’s Renji Panicker for you. He made his debut with movie ‘Bhattacharya IPS’ in 2005. He started his career as a journalist after getting his post graduate degree in it. He, with Shaji Kailas, has given gem of movies to the Malayalam industry. He is also the managing director of the Malayalam newspaper Metrovarthaa. He was born on 21 January 1958 to Keshava Panicker and Laalamani at Nedumudi, Alleppey.

Son of the late actor Thilakan, Shammi Thilakan is one of the more versatile actors in the Malayalam movie industry having nearly 30 years of experience as an actor, and as a dubbing artist. He is the recipient of the State Award for Best Dubbing Artist for lending his voice to Nassar in the movie Gazal  in 1993. He also lent his voice for Napoleon in the movie Devasuram.

Shammi Thilakan began his career in 1986, having to work under the shadow of his immensely talented father Thilakan. However, through his quality work and his extremely professional attitude, he has made a name as prominent as his father in the movie industry. His debut was in the 1986 movie directed by K.G. George, Irakal where he performed a supporting role. His acting and skill soon got him noticed and he then began to see a wide variety of roles being offered.

 In 2013, he was also awarded the TTK Prestige – Vanitha Film Awards for Best Comedian for his roles in Neram  and Sringaravelan.

P. Jayachandran is a South Indian playback singer. Often, he is also affectionately called the Bhava Gayakan in the industry. With Illaryaraja, he had given numerous popular hits in Tamil movies, and he even sang a Hindi song for an A R Rahman’s composition. For a Malayalam movie’ Pennpada’ that released in 1975, a song that he had sung is considered to the first composition of A R Rahaman. This singer also had given his voice for music composer M S Viswanathan, who is also known as ‘Mellisai Mannar’ in Tamil cinema. In 1985. He is also one -time National award winner for playback in the year 1986. In Tamil cinema, he has rendered some soulful numbers such as ‘Raasaathi Unna‘ for the film like ‘Vaidhegi Kaathirundhaal’ and "Mayanginen Solla Thayanginen’ for film 'Naane Raja Naane Manthiri’. There are numerous melodious tune of Ilayaraja in which he has given his golden voice. 

This playback singer can catch the notes of Mridangam, and this could be the reason why he was a favourite for Illaryaraja. He has mastered the art of playing Mridangam at a younger age. He cruised his way to perfection due to a support of his mother Subhadra Kunjamma, who was a great music lover, and her inspiration had paved the way for P Jayachandran to blossom into a playback artist in no time. He has also sung a Hindi song with Bollywood’s most prolific singer Alka Yagnik. He has recorded songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. He is of an opinion that nowadays songs in movies do not even suit the situation and has just become a venue for business. New generation songs will not remain in public hear and go off without creating any milestone in the music world. He also felt only better writers and musicians can pull back the music industry from this bad phase now.

Rafeeq Ahammed was born on 17 December 1961 at Akkikavu, Trichur, Kerala, to Syed Sajjad Hussain and Thithayikutty. Rafeeq is a Malayalam poet, lyricist, and novelist. He has won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2005 for his Poetic work, Aalmara, and is a Five-time winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best lyrics.

The film industry is a colourful world, but to make an entry and withstanding there is a complex task. The competition and the pressure need to be balanced. To keep ourselves intact with the industry, we have to prove our talent at every instance possible. The same thing happened in the case of P. Balachandran. He didn't come and settle in the industry just like that. With the constant efforts, not just in the cinematic field, but also in the literary field, he made his place remarkable in the Malayalam film industry.

Minmini is an Indian playback singer, most well known for her song "Chinna Chinna Aasai" from "Roja" also known as "Dil Hai Chhota sa Chhoti si Asha". Born on 12th August 1970 at Keezhmedu, Aluva, Kerala, she sang more than two thousand songs in seven different languages. Minmini is the fourth and the youngest daughter to P. A. Joseph and Treeza. She studied at St. Francis Girls’ High School, Aluva and St. Xavier’s College, Aluva. She married the musician and keyboardist Joy Mathew in 1995. She has two children named Alan Mathew and Anna Keerthana. Her birth name was P. J. Rosily but her friends called her Mini which Illayaraja changed to Minmini to attract Tamil fans. Minmini became a part of Kalabhavan Orchestra at the age of five and became a professional singer at the age of ten.
