Plot

Sonam Kapoor, who plays Mrinalini 'Milli' Chakravarty in this movie, is cast as a physiotherapist. She works for the IPL. Kirron Kher is cast as her mother Manju; she is desperate to find a bridegroom for her daughter who would belong to any royal family. As fate would have it, her services are called for by a royal family; as wished by her mother Sonam was selected by a royal family needing her for the King’s health. There she meets Vikram (Fawad Khan) who is the King’s brother. His mother, Nirmala Devi Rathore (Ratna Pathak), is not happy with Sonam’s attitude. The king was not much interested in exercises suggested by Sonam and this annoyed Sonam. But after knowing the actual reason for the sadness surrounded in the palace, she decided to make the palace as it was before. 

In an incident when Sonam and Fawad go out together, Sonam gets kidnapped and was eventually saved by Fahad. This leads them to sharing kisses. Afterward, they start falling for each other. As Sonam confesses her love to Vikram, he denied as he was already engaged to someone of his status. 

Sonam’s sister run away to Jaipur for an audition but came back only for her sister. The King realized what Milli was trying to teach him, i.e., love his life. And he stands up from his wheelchair. Sonam runs away from the palace being disappointed by Fawad’s refusal. Then, Fawad realizes his mistake and goes to Delhi to win the hand of Sonam. 

Star performances

Fawad Khan is an appropriate choice for the producers. He is fit for the role. Sonam is quite ok in her performance. Other casts were up to the mark. Kirron Kher was a perfect fit for the role. Overall the stars nicely played their role.

Verdict

The movie is funny and romantic. It won’t neither bore you nor make you roll on the floor. It is a family entertainer.
