Radhika Apte, an Indian actress was born on Sept 7, 1985. Radhika has acted in films in many languages ranging in Hindi, Marathi and many southern languages as well. She has also worked in a theatre group Aasakta. She was nominated for SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her Tamil film Dhoni. Her father Dr. Charudutt Apte is Pune’s leading neurosurgeon. She got married to musician Benedict Taylor in 2012. She had done her graduation in economics and mathematics from Fergusson College, Pune. She has learnt contemporary dance at London's Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

She started work in Hindi movies from her first small role in “Vaah Life Ho To Aisi” in 2005. In 2009 she did her debut in Marathi Industry from Gho Mala Asla Hava, she played the character of a village girl named Savitri and worked in some more films that year. She had worked in Vakratunda Swaha, which was filmed by Ashish Avikunthak over a period of 12 years. Also she played one of the lead roles in Anurag Kashyap's short film on eve teasing, That Day After Everyday which was released on YouTube in 2012. The main roles she played were in Rakht Charitra and in its second part. This year she did remarkable work in Badlapur and Hunterrr and got a lot of appreciation for that as well from Bollywood critics and her audiences. She is a very bold and fearless person as shown in her choice of films. She is working in multiple movies this year that are either being filmed or in post production phase.

Apart from movies she is also actively involved in theatre and has done many plays in Aasakta group and also in some other plays like Purnaviram, Matra Ratra . As stated by her she believes in experimental theatre and has plans to do an English play in London as well.

Shernaz Patel is an Indian theater and film actor born on January 1, 1970, in Mumbai. Burjor Patel and Ruby Patel are her parents. Her parents are veteran Gujarati stage artists, and thus, Patel grew up in a theater environment. She completed her schooling in Fort Convent School. She actively participated in plays during her school days. She was also the part of a play directed by Pearl Padmasree. She completed her studies at Elphinstone College, University of Mumbai. Later she got acting training from Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Patel mainly works in Hindi and English films. She rose to fame from the movie Black and appreciated for her role in Guzaarish. Patel portrayed the role of Rani Mukherjee’s Mother in Black.

Pooja Gandhi is a famous actress in the Kannada film industry, and she was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, on 7th October, 1983. She is also popularly known as Sanjana Gandhi. She is a model and recently emerged in politics. She has undoubtedly a huge fan following, right from the time when she got into acting in movies. She is active in the Hindi film industry from the year 2003 until present, and she has two sisters namely Radhika Gandhi, a Bollywood actress, and Suhani Gandhi, a good Tennis player.

Nandita Das is an actress and director extremely popular in art cinema differentiating from the escapist Bollywood cinema that dominated the Bollywood for long. Her screen persona in films like Bawander, Earth 1947, Fire caught regional filmmakers eyes, and she acted even in English, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Marathi, Oriya and Kannada languages too. The success of these films in Bollywood has paved the way for the development of the specialized cinema( the art- house cinema) in international film festivals that helped her to get audiences in the large cities and metro towns. She also acted in a Pakistani film, Khuda Kay Liye. This actress had never acted in films that produced a galaxy of commercial film stars. Hence, she was closely associated with Mrinal Sen, Deepa Mehta and Mani Ratnam.

Onir was born on 30th April 1969 in Thimpu, Bhutan. He was deeply interested in movies ever since his childhood and spent all of his free time by watching films in theaters. He became the principal at one of the local schools in Nepal soon after he completed the necessary educational qualifications, but soon resigned the post as he couldn’t tolerate the communal violence that was subjected to his own students.

Sanjay Suri is known as an actor in Bollywood. The 1999 flick Pyaar Mein Kabhi is his debut venture. His work in the film was appreciated.  This flick had a debut of many people including the director and actors. The flick was a dud at the box office but had a couple of good songs. Later Suri worked in several supporting roles before tasting big success with the 2003 flick Jhankaar Beats. In Jhankar Beats, Suri shared screen space with Juhi Chawla.

Born on 10th September 1972, Anurag Kashyap has established himself in Bollywood as a prominent director, producer, and screenwriter while even giving acting a try.  A born and raised Uttar Pradeshi, Kashyap had keen interest in science and aimed to become a scientist. In an interview Anurag said that he had no dreams of going into the film industry and had all hopes of pursuing Zoology. He went on to say, this all changed in 1993 after he watched Bicycle Thieves, an Italian film directed by Vittorio De Sica. The film inspired him enough to give us becoming a scientist and move to Dehli to become a filmmaker.    

Anurag got his first chance in the industry as a screenwriter for Auto Narayan when the initial script by Subramaniam was not working and Anurag was given a chance to rewrite it. He then wrote the screenplay for Jayate, a Hansal Mehta film, which was never released. Ram Gopal Varma was impressed by Anurag’s work in Auto Narayan and signed him for the screenplay and dialogue for his thriller, Satya. The film was critically acclaimed as one of the best crime, gangster movie of Bollywood. He then dabbled with production after some time with his director debut in Paanch. The movie faced trouble with the certification board due to the content not being suitable for all.  In 2012, he took on two ambitious movies in Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2, which received numerous awards and outstanding reviews. He recently produced and directed Bombay Velvet, which is currently in theatre and has received praise from critics.

Rahul Bose, who is an actor, director, writer and playback singer was born on 27th July 1967. He was born in Kolkata and then later shifted to Mumbai. His parents are Rupen Bose and Kumud Bose. He has an elder sister whose name is Anuradha Ansari. She is married to Tariq Ansari, the director, and owner of Mid-day Multimedia. Even as a child, Rahul had been interested in different plays and also participated in various co-curricular activities in school. He was interested in varieties of sports such as rugby, boxing and also obtained cricket training under Ali Khan Pataudi. He began his acting career in plays, and then in advertisements. His first stage play was when he was only six years old where he played the role of Tom, the piper’s son. Later he worked in television in India’s first English soap venture which was called A mouthful of sky. The first movie of Rahul Bose was Thakshak, which was directed by Govind Nihalani, where he played a negative role.

Arjun Mathur is an Indian actor and was born on 18th October, 1981, in London. He was brought up in Delhi, as his family shifted to India. Arjun Malhotra's father is an hotelier. Arjun completed his schooling from the British School, New Delhi. For higher studies he went to UK in Oaklands College, St Albans, and Hertfordshire and for acting training, he went to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and also to Barry John’s institute. He played the lead role in "Bring on the Night", a T.V series aired in MTV channel and also appeared in the Paranormal show "Fearfiles" that is aired in Zee TV.

His career in Bollywood, like most of the stars, started with the post of an assistant director. He assisted in the Bollywood romantic movie “Kyun! Ho Gaya Na..." and the patriotic Bollywood films " Mangal Pandey: The Rising" and "Rang De Basanti". He played a small role in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... And later appeared in the Bollywood movie "Luck by chance", in which he played a role of a struggling actor that gave him positive reviews from critics. Arjun stated that the movie is the story of his life. it shows how he struggled with small roles to get a fame in Bollywood. He has also done a controversial scene of gay sex in the Bollywood movie "I am". Arjun married to beautiful lady, Simrit Mathur in September 2010. He has done a great job in the Hindi thriller "Ankur Arora murder case”. With the enthusiasm and responsibility, Arjun Mathur seems to be reaching the top soon.

Abhimanyu Singh is a popular Indian film and television actor who works extensively in the Bollywood industry. He was born in Patna, Bihar, India, and later moved to Delhi to attend college. He worked in some school dramas during college, until one day, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his acting career. The first two months of his stay in Mumbai was really tough for the actor, since he couldn’t get any decent roles and had to wait for the producers for long hours just to cast him in any good films. He took his chances and decided to do theatre. He joined the group, Ansh, headed by Makarand Deshpande, who became his acting guru. One day, he got a call from his co-actor, Manoj Bajpai, and told him that he will be casted in the Hindi supernatural thriller film, ‘Aks’, which stars Amitabh Bachchan in 2001. This film became his debut film as an actor.
