1. Asha Bhosle
Asha is considered to be the second greatest female vocalist in India, second to only her sister the great Lata Mangeshkar. Born on September 8th 1933 in Maharashtra to Master Deenanath Mangeshkar, a classical singer and actor. Her father passed away when Asha was only 10 and she and her sister began to sing from an early age to support their family. Asha had a big family with 4 sisters, including Asha, and one brother.

Sapna Awasthi, the “chaiya chaiya” fame from Dil Se (1998) is a popular Indian playback singer. Born in Kumaon, Sapna is the daughter of a Sanskrit lecturer in Lucknow University. Her singing style which seems largely influenced by Rajasthani folk music came into limelight first after she sang “Bano Teri Ankhiya” in Shekhar Kapoor’s Dushmani (1992). But it was after the famous song “Pardesi Pardesi” in the Aamir Khan-Karishma Kapoor blockbuster hit Raja Hindustani that she became a household name.
Apart from singing in numerous Bollywood films, she also released an album “chunariya” along with Kavita Krishnamurthi and Vinod Rathode. Sapna Awasthi is mainly known for her high pitched songs as against the music in 1960’s and 1970’s which were more sophisticated. Her singing is influenced by the famous Lata Mangeshkar and Noor Jahan as well as the folk songs of Daler Mehendi which gives her song the peculiar folk touch.

She acted in a Malayalam movie, namely Ayyappantamma Neyyappam Chuttu and her role as Latha reached a huge accreditation. Hemant Chaturvedi is a brilliant cinematographer from India who has been working extensively for more than 20-years in the Hindi industry. His first critically acclaimed film was the box-office hit film, Company by Ram Gopal Varma in 2002; followed by two consecutive films by Vishal Bhardwaj. One is the Indian horror film, Makdee and the other one is the crime drama film, Maqbool from where he received acclaim. In 2005, he worked with the English-language Indian film, 15 Park Avenue by Aparna Sen and subsequently worked as a cinematographer in the Hindi film, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota and the Bollywood mystery film, ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ in 2006. His cinematography received positive reviews for his work in the Bollywood crime drama film, Kurbaan in 2009. In year 2012, he works in the romantic drama film, Ishaqzaade by Habib Faisal and the animated film, Arjun: The Warrior Prince. This year, he works for the film, Dekh Tamasha Dekh and Watchdogs. Recently, he did the comedy drama film, Ungli by Rensil D’Silva. Hemant is currently filming Karan Malhorta’s film, Brothers which is set to release in year 2015.
Prior to all these, Hemant also worked as a production assistant in the 1994 documentary film, Street Musicians of Bombay. In 2011, the promising cinematographer will supposedly work with the Tamil gangster-thriller film, Billa II but he was later opted out since the film is being delayed at that time.
Hemant also done a variety of television shows including the Rendevouz with Simi Gareal in 1997 and the very popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also did several commercials ads including the Vasan Eye Care: Happiness Begins Here – Makhan Singh. Hemant also worked with actress and director, Nandita Das in three part 60-seconds film that promotes education for underprivileged children in association with UNICEF and Commissioned by the Social Initiative Group of ICCI.
This year, he was associated by the Whistling Woods International in Mumbai and they conducted a Digital Cinematography workshop.

The eldest son of Kannada author and businessman D.K Chowta, Sandeep Chowta is a well known Indian music director. He was born in Ghana, a country in West Africa, grew up in Nigeria and later Banglore, India. Currently, he puts up in Chennai. He has been directing music for Kannada films and has also contributed to Bollywood and the Telegu cinema, Tollywood. He has directed music for five films in Tollywood and now is directing music for all the three industries. In 2003, he produced a documentary dealing with the drug peddling menace rampant in the country. He named it ‘Dead End’. The documentary was much applauded at the film festival and was government renowned. His musical talent was so much so that he managed to invite Jay Oliver and Richard Gannaway to his Mumbai studio. Their presence proved to be fruitful for him and since then he is one of the groups contributing producers.

Born on 15th December 1970, Babul Supriyo is a talented singer. He is also an actor and politician. At present, he holds the post of Minister of State for Urban Development under the regulation of Government of India. He is also Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. As a cinema artist, he has worked in over 70 films. Other than Hindi, he has given his voice for Oriya and Bengali films.
The year 2014 saw him entering politics; he got himself associated with the Narendra Modi’s government. He was the youngest minister at that time.
Supriyo was initially working in a bank, but quite this coveted job owing to his passion for singing. He has a beautiful voice which to an extent resembles Kumar Sanu, a reputed Bollywood singer. But Supriyo feels that everybody faces an identity crisis. He has worked in Bengali flicks as a lead hero.
Supriyo is a B. Com Honors graduate.Supriyo had his early days in Uttarpara, Hooghly. He imbibed music skills from his grandfather Banikantha N C Baral who was a composer and vocalist in Bengali. Supriyo’s singing prowess was noticed, and he went on to gain recognition at inter-school and inter-college level. He also performed on a consistent basis in Doordarshan and All India Radio. Supriyo journeyed to Mumbai in 1992 to establish a profession in Bollywood. Supriyo considered this equivalent to climbing a mountain. He took the test of time and eventually his works were observed. Chanda Chamke, Pari Hai Ek Pari and Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara are some of the hits of this talented singer.
Chander Bari, Ogo Bodhu Shundori, and Hit List are some of the Bengali flicks in which he worked. Supriyo drew inspiration from ace singer Kishore Kumar. Having starting his profession with the name Supriyo, he later changed it to Supriyo. The songs of the 1997 flick Saat Rang Ke Sapne made Supriyo very famous. This flick was directed by Priyadarshan. The number O Piya O Piya from Agni Sakshi was also a success, but it was wrongly thought to be Kumar Sanu’s voice. The album Tere Liye was a successful endeavor of Supriyo.
Kalyanji was instrumental in providing Supriyo with several live shows in India as well as overseas. Since the mid-90s, Supriyo started associating himself with Bollywood and churned out several hits.
ON his personal front, Supriyo is separated from his wife, Rhea. They are blessed with a daughter. Supriyo never minds speaking what he feels in real life.

Sudesh Bhonsle was born on 1st July 1960 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is a very popular singer in the Bollywood film industry and is especially known for exactly imitating the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He made his debut venture as a singer in the film Zalzala, that got released in the year 1988.

The host of the show during the third season was Shahrukh Khan. He also appeared as a judge for the dancing competition television series Kabhi Kabhii Pyar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar which was aired from July 2008 to August 2008 on Sony TV. He also judged a singing competition television show Fame X 2006. His co-judges for the show were Daler Mehndi and Nikhil Chinapa.
Ganesh was born on 10th November 1973 to Harishchandra Subbaiah Hegde and Vidya Hegde in a Tulu-speaking family in Mumbai. He completed his schooling at Umedbhai Patel English School and graduated from Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College, Mumbai. Ganesh married Sunayna Shetty in 2011. The couple has two sons, Giaan and Hriyaan. Gandhi of the Month is his latest movie, which is set to release. Most of the movies had him as the corrupted police officer or a villain. Harsh Chhaya's debut on television was a small role in a Zee TV series Tara. Such powerful was his performance that it created a stereotypical image of Harsh as a corrupt boss.
