She was born on October 31 in Vijayawada, new Capital city of present Andhra Pradesh state. She was grown up in the same city and her education was also completed in the same city. Her father was a business man. She studied up to intermediate.

During her school age she was always excited to participate in cultural activities and it’s the driven force for her present life. She was always busy participating in cultural activities everywhere.

Once she was spotted and an opportunity knocked her door, when she was in 8th class she was offered a chance in local TV channel in Vijayawada for anchoring children shows. She got popular along the city. She felt thrilled being an anchor; afterwards she put a halt to her studies and took up anchoring as the profession.

She fell in love with her colleague at the same TV channel, she later married him. Her husband was ‘’ who also later became a famous artist in Telugu film industry. She was married at very young age. Couple were blessed with a cute daughter.

Later on she got opportunities to act in movies. She acted in about 60 Telugu movies. Her first movie was ‘Seenugadu Chiranjeevi Fan (movie based on hero Chiranjeevi follower)’. She was charming and beautiful for which she got many opportunities for good roles and acted in supporting roles and also a comedian in few films. Her big projects include ‘Ye Maaya Chesave (a Gautham Menon film)’, ‘’, ‘Oye, ‘Baadshah’, ‘’ all the movies are blockbusters.

Surekha Vani anchored shows like ‘’ and ‘Heart beat’ along with her husband on MAA TV. She also appeared in a show ‘’ which was directed by her husband. All the above shows are related to couples.
