Madhusree Sharma

Affectionately known as Bela Chachi to the television audience, Madhusree Sharma is an actress, model, and dancer. Born on the 30th of January 1990, Madhusree was born and raised in a small town called Garhbeta in West Bengal. Being brought up in the cultural capital of the country, Madhusree started learning to dance since she was two-and-a-half years old. Trained formally in the classical form of dance, she performed in several dance competitions. As Madhusree lives in a joint family, she initially encountered difficulties in pursuing her dance career.

But her parents were very supportive of her throughout. She began conducting dance classes when she was thirteen. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Garhbeta College in West Bengal. Madhusree has taken part and won in many dance competitions during her school and college days, and she intended to become a dance choreographer in the future. Madhusree’s first time acting experience was in a Bengali Telefilm. To fulfill the wishes of her father, Madhusree Sharma moved to Mumbai in April 2013.

After attending a few auditions, she got an opportunity to appear in an episode of the television series CID. CID marks as the debut show for the actress. Later, she appeared in the acclaimed sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Sunita Sabziwali. In 2015, the actress was part of the television series Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re, which aired on Life OK. She has also acted in a few episodes of the crime anthology series Crime Patrol. Madhusree Sharma reached the gigantic leap of her career in 2017. She got chosen to play the character, Bela Agarwal, in the romantic period drama Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. She experimented with the role as she had to play the mother of two teenage girls.

Soon after the airing of the series, she became a household name. She earned massive fame from the show, and people fondly refer to her as Bela Chachi. Her dialogue “Bhagwan Jhut na Bulaye” was very famous with the audience. Lauded for her performance in the show, Bela Chachi remains as Madhusree’s most loved character. In 2018, Madhusree Sharma appeared in the mythological drama produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions.

She played the role of Surili, Uruvi’s maid in the Star Plus show. The actress started her 2020 campaign with the social show Barrister Babu, which Shashi Sumeet Productions produced. Her character Surmani has a gray shade in the drama. Besides being an amazing actor and dancer, Madhusree is a writer, and she enjoys writing. Her other pass time includes creating art from waste.
