Jiten Purohit

Jiten Purohit is a producer and director of Indian origin. He is a commerce graduate from Somnath-Gujarat, moved to Mumbai in 1990 with aspirations of joining the Indian film industry. He began his career as an assistant director, working on films such as Chauraha, Pehchaan, Madam X, Gopi Kishan, and Krishna. In 1995, he founded his own production company, ASHEEMA CREATIONS, and produced television content for various channels. In 2000, he wrote and directed his first Gujarati film, Daldu Chorayu Dhire Dhire, which had a star-studded cast and went on to win 5 Trans Media Awards. He continued to work as a writer-director, and contributed to the Hindi films. In 2007, he wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogue for the Gujarati film Mota Ghar Ni Vahu, which won the Gujarat State Awards in 2007-2008 for Best Story and Screenplay Writer, as well as 9 other awards.

In 2008, he began his career as a writer-producer and director with the release of his Musical-Action Hindi film Diwangi Ne Had Kar Di under the banner of ASHEEMA CREATIONS. He also served as the Dean of Shri T.P. Aggarwal's Star Film Institute from 2014-2017, and was a Supervising Producer of Jayant Gilatar's Chalk N Duster in 2016. Jiten has also produced and written several short films, including Chai Coffee Mix , Sweet 60 and Opportunist in 2017. He worked as a creative producer for Rock Mountain Productions in 2019 and supervised Jayant Gilatar's Gujarat-11, which was released in November 2019. Currently, he is working on JJ Creations' new web series called No Kidding and has plans to direct and write his own film. Additionally, he has been a member of EC of IMPPA (2015-2018) and IFTDA (2018-2021, 2021-2024).
