Rawat completed his Bachelor's Degree in mass communication and Media Studies from the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies in the year 2009. Later he did a master's degree in Cinematography and film and video production from L.V Prasad Film and TV Academy, Chennai.
He is working in Bollywood since 2012. Rawat worked in various ad Campaigns like Jio Fibre, Dettol, and ICICI Card less. He won best debut director at the Rajasthan International film festival 2019 Winner of best editor at Singapore Saiff 2018. Apart from this, his work as cinematographer is also seen in VIVO #onthego, 2.0, A'very Day, I Am Alone, So Are You, Reliance ResQ Brand Flim, Do Rupiya Ka Sikka, Bride Coconut, Khuli Khidki.
