Nicolas Winding Refn is a Danish screenwriter and film director, popular amongst the International audience for his work in movies like The Neon Demon (2016), Only God Forgives (2013), Drive (2011), etc. Mostly known for his predominant involvement in Hollywood movies, he has contributed to the film industry as a writer, producer, director, and an actor.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 29th September 1970, Nicolas was brought up in New York, United States by Anders Refn and Vibeke Winding. In 1996, he made his first notable contribution on the silver screen with the film Pusher, which bagged the award for the Best Supporting Actor at Bodil Awards.
