In his latest interview to a leading daily, Nivin says, "We have been friends for a long time. The dream back then for me was to make my acting debut through his directorial. But I was the one who got into movies first. I have always known how passionate he is about filmmaking and what an amazing talent he is. From the scripting stage of “Premam”, we have been working together. He is extremely hardworking and so involved in what he does. This character rubs on me as well.
