, the musician on the same reality show. To this, the police had responded that they could act only if a complaint were filed against him. When the police arrested Venkat from his home on Thursday night and produced him before the City Civil Court judge the next day, he had initially said he had no health issues, but later admitted to having a few issues. The police were told to provide medical treatment as and when necessary.
Outside the court, there were a few people demanding his release. Venkat was brought to the court and later to the jail under high security. He was given a medical test and given accommodation in the DIG office near the hospital ward. If required, he would be sent to a private hospital.
On the jail premises, Venkat was given a warm welcome by the inmates and mobbed. The jail staff had to chase them away.
