Akhil Out Mahesh In!

Akhil Akkineni approached the “Oopiri” director to remake the Bollywood film, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” for him in Telugu. But, Vamsi came up with a fresh script which is created by him. He said that he is not in a mindset to remake a film, as he had just completed the French remake with Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah Bhatia. As Akhil didn’t give his consent to do a fresh script with Vamsi Paidipally, he moved to Mahesh Babu with another script, for which the “Brahmotsavam” star has given a nod. After completing the bilingual with “A R Murugadoss,” Vamsi and Mahesh project will start, say the sources. “Prasad V Potluri” will produce the film, say the reports. However, Akhil and Vamsi didn’t state that their project is called off. Hanu Raghavapudi of “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha” and Koratala Siva are on the suggested directors’ list of Akhil.
