Lalith Janakantha is a Sri Lankan actor. He started his acting career with the Sinhala movie Thunweni Aha, also known as Third Eye The third eye is a show that was aired on Darshana >> Read More... , in 1996. Later in 2000, he played a small role in a Sinhala child drama movie Saroja. He played a small role in a Sinhala thriller drama movie Sonduru Dadabima, released in 2003. In 2006, he played a role in the film Samanala Thatu, also known as Butterfly Wings. Later in 2006, he played a small role in a Sinhala war drama film Sewwandi. Lalith also acted in the film Sikuru Hathe, Released in 2007. In 2008, in an Italian-Sri Lankan comedy film Machan he played the role of Piyal’s 2nd Cousin. He was also part of the cast of a Sinhala ancient comedy film King Hunther, released in 2011.

Later in 2013, Lalith played the role of Ranawatte Duraya in the movie Siri Parakum. Janakantha was also one amongst the four vocalists of the song, Daana Sellam Ape Rajamanthri from the film Suhada Koka, released in 2015. Lalith Janakantha also played the role of Max in a Sinhala musical film Sarigama, released in 2016. He played the role of Buddhist monk in a Sinhala disaster drama film Tsunami, released in 2020. He also acted in a Sri Lankan comedy film Kathuru Mithuru, in 2023.
