Diksha Dhoundiyal

From a small village in the Almora district of Uttarakhand, Dikhsha Dhoundiyal is a rising artist, lyricist, and actress who proved that chasing your dreams, having patience, and not giving up will be fruitful one day. Diksha was born and brought up in the village of Deghat. She also attended a local school from the same. For her further studies, Diksha went to a college in Ranikhet for her Bachelor’s degree, and for her Master’s, she moved to Dehradun. Diksha loved singing and acting from a young age and would participate in her school functions as well as competitions, where she received several awards from. However, as she grew up, she concluded that she wanted to make music, which was scorned at by her parents, who always opined that getting a government job was more important as it guaranteed security in life.

But Diksha had bigger plans to make her name more permanent, a job that would make people know her name for years to come- an artist. So, she went against her parents’ wishes and created her path. Given the nickname “Uttarakhand’s Neha Kakkar,” Diksha debuted in the music industry in 2021 with the single Pyara Pill, which she composed and wrote herself. She rose to fame through her 2022 single Insta Baand, which reached the right audience showering her with praises and good reviews. Her next hit came with the song Kala Chashma which was released in 2023. Some of her other popular songs are Bijora, Gypsy, Lehnga Mehnga, Mai Pahadan, Laski Kamari, and more.
