Sharon Mazarello is a singer, director, actress, and screenwriter who works mainly in the Konkani film industry. Sharon was born on June 29, 1965, in Margao, Goa, India. She completed her schooling at Maria Bambina Convent High School, Goa. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts (Psychology) from Bombay University. She also studied at Trinity College of Music with Grades I, II, and III. Sharon’s debut was in the tiatr, Devan Sanddunk Nam in 1979 with a cameo appearance. It was produced by Wilson Mazarello, who was her husband, too.
Sharon’s debut solo song (“Dhovo Parvo”) was also from that tiatr. Since then, she has performed in many musical programs, tiatrs, films, television shows, and radio shows. Sharon has sung in many languages like Marathi, Hindi, Konkani, and English. Sharon Mazarello has acted in more than 150 tiatrs. Sharon also has over 27 audio CDs, and DVDs to her credit. She has written and directed many tiatrs. She has performed in television shows, local shows, and films in Konkani and English.
She acted in “Tum Kitem Kortolo,” a Konkani film that was released in 2010. She was also a director and writer for that movie, and she also sang a song in that movie. She became the first woman to direct a Konkani film after that movie. She also acted in “ Dum Maaro Dum Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” a Bollywood film released in 2011. Her other work is “Cheddum…. The Girl,” a short film released in 2014. Sharon was the founder and director of Theatre Art & Cultural Training Institute (A place for training young theatre artists), Margao, since 1992. She was the CEO of Melwi Enterprises, Goa, in 1991. She has been a director at Rhythm House Music, Margao, since 1992, and she has been a director and producer at Shamaz Films, Goa, since 2011.
