Parthiv Gohil

Parthiv Gohil is an Indian playback singer. He is from Gujarat. Gohil was born in Bhavnagar, a town in Saurashtra region. He is from a musical background. Gohil has worked in many Bollywood movies as a playback singer. His father was the one who introduced him to the music world. His grandfather had a great passion for music as well. Parthiv started with his training in music when he was only 10. Smt. Bhanuben Solanki, a renowned classical singer, was Gohil’s first mentor. He won ‘Pandit Omkarnath Thakur Competition’ when he was just 14.

He was also trained under Zia Faruddin Dagar who is a descendant of the legend Tansen. He even worked and learned from great music personalities like ‘Sultan Khan’, ‘Hariprasad Chaurasia’, ‘V.G. Jog’ and many others. In the musical show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’, he was a runner-up. The show was very popular among the masses and was judged by many great personalities such as Pt. Jasraj, Khayyam, Parveen Sultana and much more. Many people greatly admired his work. His concerts were a big hit among the Indian and overseas audience.

Currently, Parthiv is hosting the TV show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ on Alpha Gujarati channel of ZEE. He has done notable work in Bollywood too. He began his career in Bollywood by singing in ‘Devdas’, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. Later, he worked in many movies like ‘Saheb Biwi and Gangster’, ‘Vada Raha’, ‘Kisaan’, ‘EMI’ and much more. Gohil has received several awards as well. Gujarat Government awarded his ‘The Gujarat Gaurav Award’. For the movie ‘Mai Odhani Odhi Tara Namni’, he won the award of Best Playback Singer in the year 2009.

In the year 2007, he won the same award for a Gujarati movie ‘Prem Ek Pooja’. Recently, Gohil was awarded ‘Young Achievers Award’ by Rahul Gandhi.
