Salome Roy Kapur has been interested & trained in Indian classical and western dance forms since the young age of five years. When it comes to the western dance forms, she has been trained in tap dance, Spanish dance, ballroom dance, folk dances, and different kinds of Latin American dances. While in the Indian dance forms, she has been trained in Kathak, Kathakali, and Bharatnatyam. When she turned seven, she began to travel around the country with her brother to start her career as a model. In 1968, Salome Roy Kapur started her career as a model. She was featured in Cadbury advertisements with her brother at the age of twelve. In the following year, Salome Roy Kapur appeared in another commercial for Apsara Sarees.
