Bonnie Somerville is an American singer and actress. She is an actress in both TV and film media. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 1998 and has been part of many successful TV series and films. She was born on February 24, 1974, in New York.
Acting and singing have been in her veins. She used to take part in school plays, and thus her passion for acting became double when she completed a Musical Theater major from Boston College and wanted to make acting as her profession. She got her first break as a singer for a hometown band through an agent. She sang the back up on Joshua Radin's first album 'We Were Here.’
However, her luck in acting took a backseat. She was an extra in the 1996 film 'City Hall.' TV miniseries 'Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story' (1999) was her first break in Tv, in which Bonnie played the lead role along with Brad Hawkins. The show was aired on CBS channel. In the year 2000-2001, she appeared in an American Sitcom 'Grosse Pointe.' The sitcom starred Rene Molloy, William Ragsdale in lead roles.
Although her career in movies started from 2000 onwards, she continued getting small roles in movies like Spider-Man 2, Without a Paddle, Shades of Ray, The Ugly Truth Click to look into! >> Read More... etc. It was only in the year 2010, Somerville got a lead role in the movie 'The Best and the Brightest' in which she was cast opposite Patrick Harris who played the character of Sam and Jeff respectively. She played the role of a detective in 'Golden Boy' which is an American crime drama series created by Nicholas Wootton.
