For the Karachi born Pakistani TV actress Sania Saeed, it was but natural that she would enter into enacting dramas, sooner or later. Coming from parents who were highly educated and soaked into drama, she picked up her threads early, while at the same time pursuing her studies. She made her first break into television in 1989 when she was 17, through a street theatre play called “Aurat”. In fact, Sania’s skills in drama were honed and polished by her participation in her father’s troupe, called Dastak.

Dastak was formed in the backdrop of the struggle for democracy in Pakistan in 1982, and it staged street theatre with the help of a closely knit group of volunteer human rights activists. It continued the struggle till 1988 helping to bring to an end Pakistan’s longest running autocratic rule.  It was here that Sania learnt her first lessons in theatre by playing child characters in some of the Urdu versions of world famous plays, including those of Chekov and others.

However, it was actually about 4 years later that she shot into real prominence through her roles in the serial “Aahat” in 1991, followed the very next year by “Sitara Aur Mehrunissa” . 

After these two landmark serials there was no looking back for her. She has a fair mix of TV dramas (about 30) and TV serials (about 16), but her association with TV does not end there, she took part in Talk Shows also, being eminently qualified for the same. She had never ignored her education and completed her course in Clinical psychology after her early education. 

Her association with Dastak also extended even further, when she got her husband, writer director, Shahid Shafaat too, involved in the Dastak movement. Together they formed what was later christened as Katha, a grouping of working children from their hometown, trained into performing street plays. All in all, Sania Saeed is not just a TV personality, but a veritable movement, who with her father Mansoor Saeed and husband Shahid, has brought street theatre in Pakistan to a new level.

Naila Jaffery is a renowned actress on Pakistani TV screens whose hometown is Lahore. Almost a decade has passed, but Naila Jaffery is still engaged in delivering her best when it comes to acting. Besides acting, she has also pursued her career as a fashion designer, and she owns a boutique. She is admired and loved by her co-actors and actresses. She fits into her roles with creditable ease, and she is endorsed for being one of the expressive faces of this industry. Naila has also tried her hand in theater. She acted in a play named ‘Begum Jaan’ staged by ‘NAPA’ in ‘Karachi Arts Council’ in 2011, and the critics appreciated her acting skill.

Ayesha Khan was born in a Pakistani family on the 27th September of the year 1982. Her family basically comes from Lahore, Pakistan. Her father is of Punjabi origin and her mother is of Kashmiri descent. Ayesha was raised in Abu Dhabi as well as North America. She adapted into the Pakistani culture just as her career in Pakistan's entertainment industry began. Khan built the woman's tv set debut inside year 2000 within the famous serial "Tum Yahi Kehna" which is broadcasted on PTV.

Humayun Saeed has been known famously across Pakistan and its film industry for his great acting skills and also as a producer of films. This talented and famous personality was born on the 27th day of July in the year 1971 in Karachi, Pakistan. Humayun is one of the five siblings that he has. Humayun studied in college for the degree of Bachelors in Commerce after which he started working at a factory for garments which was named H. Nizam Din (Pvt) Ltd for the post of a Production Manager for four years from 1991 to 1995. He entered the film industry through the movie Inteha in the year 1996. His debut TV play was Ye Jahan. Since then he has appeared in 64 television dramas and movies. When he decided to get into the film industry, his parents rebuked him and became disappointed with his decision.

Danish Taimoor is a Pakistani model and TV actor. He was born in Karachi on February 16, 1983 and started acting at a quite young age as an amateur artist. After completing his education he took up the profession of modeling before entering into the world of TV. His television career started with a small role in Dil, Diya, Dehleez in 2009. His performance was highly lauded and many offers started coming his way. His some of the most famous series were Haseena Moin's Meri Behen Maya and Mehreen Jabbar's Rehai which brought him much fame and name. Other television serials which were noted for his performance were Manchaley in which he played the role of Jibran Khwaja, Masi Aur Malika, Chemistry on Geo TV ( one of the most famous serial in Pakistan), Larkiyan Muhalle Ki, Perfume Chowk and Raju Rocket on Hum TV, Kuchh Ankahi Baatein, Lamha Lamha Zindagi and Mere Sanwariya Ka Naam on Ary Digital and many others on different channels. 

Babar Khan aka Babar Khan Durrani is a talented artist, belonging to the Pakistani Film Industry. Babar was born and brought up in Lahore, Pakistan. He has donned several roles in small screen serials and has also worked as a model. His talent was recognized, and he became a household name, through the television drama Ek Tamanna Lahasil Si that was aired on Hum TV. He acted in a substantial supportive role in the serial and won accolades for his acting skills.

Shehryar Zaidi is a well-known, senior Pakistani actor. He predominantly acts in TV serials and shows. He is known to play the current age dramatic roles of a father on screen. Also, many of his family members too happen to be related to the showbiz and media. Sheharyar Zaidi’s family hails from Uttar Pradesh, India. But they had migrated to Pakistan after the partition in 1947. Sheharyar has completed his graduation from National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore. After completing his degree, he indulged actively into acting and singing and this marked as the very beginning of his media career. During the 1970’s he continued to appear as a singer on PTV and also was providing vocals for famous television program “Such Gupp” along with his wife Nayyara Noor; who was a famous singer then. Although, Shehryar was active in the media industry from the 1970’s he eventually started appearing as an actor only during his forties; only after private satellite channels were launched in 2000.He went on to demonstrate eminent performance in various roles like Chaudhary Saab in the famous TV series “Kis Ki Aayegi Baraat”.
