Maria Wasti, born on 14th August 1971, is a Pakistani Television & Film actress and host. Pakistan’s first private (non-government owned) channel launched in the 1990s, Network Television Marketing, featured contents that grasped attention and interests of the younger generation of the society, and hence, fascinated Maria to become an actress. Maria has done over 50 serials and a huge number of assorted plays. She started her career with the play ‘Sarah Aur Ammara’ for which she was approached by Bakhtiar Ahmed, the programme manager PTV Lahore Centre.

2. Alyy Khan

Aly Khan or Alyy Khan is a mixed British and Pakistani television and film actor. He was born on December 6, 1968 in Karachi to a Muslim household. When he was 6-years old, they moved to London that’s why he has a British Passport. When he was 9 years old, they moved to Mumbai, India where Aly studied and later on worked. He was married to Pakistani, Chandni Saigol and they have two kids. Chandni took up kickboxing and teaches kids at school. Then they came back to Pakistan again. He studied film and TV production in Pimlico Arts and Media College. He is now a resident of Pakistan and London.

 

Aly works in both Hollywood and Bollywood industries. Some of his renowned works are, the drama film, A Mighty Heart by Michael Winterbottom along with some American actors and actresses like Dan Futterman and Angelina Jolie, Don 2 and the romantic-drama film, Anjuman. He actively appeared in some television serials like, The Bill on ITV Network, Strike Back and the Pakistani romantic serial, Saat Pardon Mein. 

In 2003, Aly appeared in the Bollywood sport-drama film, Stumped.

 

He played the lead role of Major Raghav Seth who lives in the Happy Home Society and has a passion in playing and watching the cricket game. Then he did the films Sssshhh…, Kis Kis Ko, Nazar, and the British television film, Sharpe’s Challenge. He was also in the films Traitor and made a cameo appearance in the film 42 KM. Aly was Satish Chaudhary in 2009 film, Luck By Chance, followed by a television film, Dark Relic. In 2010, he did the film Pusher where he played the role of Scott. Aly became very active in the film industry from the year 2011 to 2012 and did many films including the short film, Titlee. Recently, he was filming the upcoming biographical film, Mah-e-Meer by Anjum Shahzad.

 

Aside from acting, Aly also hosted the the 1st Indian Telly Awards in 2001 and many reality shows including the cooking game show, Foodistan. Then he acted in few television serials like Lipstick on Zee TV, Yeh Zinagi Hai on Geo TV, The Philanthropist and more. In 1992, he worked on some documentaries and theatres after joining UTV. He became popular in India after doing the television serial, Banegi Apni Baat in 1994. He also appeared in the Indian drama series like Kabhie Kabhie in 1997, Private Detective, Bombay Blue, Satya and Dev D. Aly also did Dark Relic, a television series about the crusades in 2010 and the Cape Town.
