The supernatural drama has remakes in Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi. The name remained the same for the Tamil and Malayalam remake, Sunetra for the Bengali version, Nagashree for the Kannada version, and Netra for the Marathi version. The story revolves around Love versus Revenge since the past six births. In the present seventh birth, Nethra, an istaroopdhari Naagin, was chosen by Lord Shiva as the protector of humanity. Nethra has to marry a human to gain the Naagmani, where all the powers required to safeguard peace and humanity are stored.

The Naagmani appears once in 21 years at Tripura Pournami, where Nethra should go with her husband to get the gemstone. Nethra decided to marry Arjun, a human, rather than Karan, who belongs to the Asura lineage. Her decision disturbed Karan and made him determined to obtain the Naagmani before Nethra. According to the memory of the past six births, Karan created hurdles in the relationship and love between Arjun and Nethra. He tried to obtain the Naagmani using different ways for his evil intentions. The following episodes show how Nethra would gain the trust and love of Arjun after the wedding and how Arjun and Nethra would protect the Naagmani from the evil Karan. The last episode of the daily soap premiered on 4 March 2023.
