Lekh Tandon is primarily an Indian director but has played a few roles in films as well. He was born on 13 February 1929 in Lahore (British India). He completed his schooling from Khalsa High School, Lyalpur. His father’s friendship with Prithviraj Kapoor proved to be a fortunate thing for Lekh’s career. On a holiday to Bombay, he stayed with Kapoor and toured the studios. This experience with Kapoor inspired him to make his career in the industry. He started as a cameraman under V.N. Reddy and later became an assistant director to Kidar Sharma. The turning point in Lekh’s career came when F.C.
